★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whenever I come to Guelph I have to stop at With the Grain and their associated bakery across the street to grab some baked goods.
The lemon squares are fantastic and my definite favourite. There are not many vegan or gluten free options but I have seen more flourless desserts pop up.
They also have a bread schedule depending on the day of the week so you always know it is fresh.

Also the cake was fan freaking tasting, we loved every single bite! Looking forward to going back time and time again and reminiscing any time we get their boston cream donuts!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m smiling when I’m walking into this please even a bigger smile when I’m walking out. The whole place has a great vibe soon as you walk in. The staff is exceptionally friendly and professional.
I absolutely love their croissants and danishes.
My personal preference is to go into the morning because the great tasting food with leave you satisfied for the rest of the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best bakeries in the city (and that's saying a lot). Leave yourself time if you plan on going, there's usually a lineup given that the bakery can only hold 3-4 customers at once and their products are high demand.
They have a rotating schedule of bread and pastries, so you could try something different every day of the week.
I'm a fan of their farmer's loaf sourdough and the Lost Aviator coffee, which they also sell in bags to take home.
With the Grain is a staple in Guelph. You'll love it.
