★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had to pull over in a section that has no stopping during rush hour, to answer a important phone call for work. Had parking authority tell me I had to move right away. So apparently parking authority would rather you drive and answer a call while driving then pull over and be safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Corrupt and unjust. Extracting money from low income people for parking next to their own houses in low traffic areas. Applying for permits has long wait times and it explicitly states on the application website that permit requirements are currently relaxed, yet they're ticketing people anyways. Extremely regressive and exploitative tax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like everyone else, this is the rediculous part of living in Winnipeg. The province that gives lowest minimum wage charges the highest amount on their tickets.i don't where that money goes looking at the condition of city. Corrupt law and order of this city makes it revolving door for people coming here. All they worry about collecting money as tickets instead of controlling the crime in this city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst service ever, corrupt service. Government should take this authority down. Give 3 days of money to them and get bankrupt. No snow signs for snow removal and keep on charging tickets. How would an elderly know they are working today. SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE. Don’t spread people like you all over this beautiful country just stay here together.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a ticket in the mail for parking on a street that has been occupied by the same cars for months even years..the parking authority didn’t bother to ticket people for 20+ years on this street and now it’s an issue all of a sudden? I only know this because my ex coworker parked there every single day on the street for at least that long.Thank god I’m getting a job outside of Winnipeg soon! I don’t feel like paying 100+ a month on parking when anywhere else it’s free. I feel even worse for those that are getting ticketed on streets that have no signage and are getting tickets for no valid reason. SMH

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Issuing tickets when the street wasn’t even cleaned, the car wasn’t even towed. Received the ticket in mail. First time in the world I have seen a city issuing made up violations through the mail. At least be responsible to put a ticket on the car so that it’s considered a real ticket.
Also the snow was not cleaned, then whats the point of giving a ticket? The car stayed there, so how did they cleaned if they ever cleaned? And forget about the screening, Its just a formal appeal to do absolutely nothing to reduce the fine .
Its like a cat and mouse game. “We know your car was parked and bamn! here is the 200$ Slapped with photo of your car on your face by the mail”.
Horrible irresponsible cash grab.

Parked my car last night in front of my house and it’s not snow route. My car got towed away and parked in no parking zone and the officer put $200 ticket on it.
It’s totally nonsense.
Why they towed my car and parked in no parking zone???
Why i was not informed that my car is towed ???
Why i was not informed that city will clear the snow tonight so don’t park the car on street??
I called 311 and towed companies that who took my car away. Everyone said they didn’t towed the car. At the end i traced my car with the inbuilt GPS and found out that it was parked in no parking zone.
Now i have to pay $200 for without any reason.
Horrible city, horrible experience.??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just moved to Winnipeg and was parked on a street behind my building. I was given a ticket of almost $200 and a made up parking violation. I was the only one with Ontario plates and the only one to get a ticket. There is no signs posted that I should not be parked there. It states something about being parked in a snow clear zone when res. park ban applied. Funny theres no signs that this street is a snow route zone. This ticket was clearly made up thinking that someone from out of the province will just pay it not thinking anything. Its quite ridiculous for a city to be conducting business in this way, especially after reading the rest of the comments
