★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped by beginning of July. As soon as you exit the vehicle there are swarms, and I'm talking literally hundreds, of mosquitoes attacking you. They didn't care about our repellent or clothing. Tried to run down the path and they followed. It was truly horrible. Wouldn't recommend, at least in summer. It's very swampy, not why why this location was selected for a nature park. Looks well maintained, minus the mosquitoes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such peaceful park in the middle of paradise. I took my wife and two kids to take a stroll and ended up loving every moment of it. At the beach area, there are huge picnic tables (some with shades) with BBQ-ready pits, and swings for children. There was even a nice cabin (change rooms) in case you bring swimming suits. The park has a beautifully well-built deck which leads to the beach. This is a must-visit when you are in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Park is generally not very busy and so if you stop on one of the many boardwalks over the swamps the bird song resonates around you. When it comes to a stroll the park is nice with some unique features such as giant hollowed out cedar logs and views of the river, but swimming at mosquito beach can be tedious. The place has several amenities for a good time, but the mosquito's and the usual cold dampness of the area do not always make it the best place for a picnic.
