C	Caitlyn Christensen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely loved my stay at Windborne Bed and Breakfast. My hosts couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. They were happy to tell me all about town; where I might go to experience nature and the local scene. Breakfast's were delicious, and the company lovely. If you have an interest in art, they run a studio right next door where you can take classes!
S	Stephen Joyce on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our visit to this BnB began with the owner complaining that we should not have booked the room via the commercial booking site and said we should have used his own site - which we had tried but the site was not working. He then explained he would have to charge us extra because of how we booked. I am pretty sure this is against the trades description act, but there you have it, the owner was apparently only concerned about charging as much as they could without regard for his guests. The room was very small and cluttered with furniture. There was little privacy as there was a door leading straight into the owners living quarters and there was considerable noise for a dinner party they were having on the one night we did stay (we got charged for two). One of our party had just received 2nd-degree burns to their foot and the owner refused to allow us to cancel the 2nd night and insisted on charging us full price. Needless to say, neither I nor my partner were impressed by either the space or the hospitality of the owner. Also, this establishment is situated just across the river from the Castlegare pulp mill and the noise from the factory was very noticeable and ran ALL night. I am sure there are MUCH better places to stay in this area, I'd shop around if I were you.
D	Dan Davies on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just a short distance from downtown Castlegar, it is a convenient location. The owners do a good job of welcoming you and making you feel comfortable. The bed, bathroom and room are nice, with good temperature control. It is the style of B&B that relies on the common area to give you more room, which is not as convenient in the current pandemic conditions. Social distancing was not easy here.
A	Analia Crespo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband is expected to work in Castlegar starting on July the 18th. Made a one-week reservation during the week-end. A credit card number was provided. Shortly thereafter an email was received, containing an invoice due August 6th. Today, July 12th, we sent an email asking if the room has A/C (37 degrees expected next week). We received an email stating that they tried to bill us but somehow it did not work and therefore they canceled our reservation, without attempting to contact us to solve the supposed difficulties. NOw we had to scramble to find alternative lodging.
M	Mark Zando on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elegant and whimsical best describe the stay. Marc whipped up a Gourmet breakfast with a five star presentation and interesting humorous anecdotes . There are many small touches that the friendly and accommodating hosts have done to make our stay the best Bed and. breakfast we have ever experienced. Mirja is an amazing artist with her artwork on display throughout the B&B. She adds the whimsical to the stay. We will be back to visit with them again. During your stay be sure to ask about Margaret, their rescue Turkey.

The carefully considered breakfast was delightful. Marc and Marija are warm wonderful hosts with an easy relaxed style of conversing with. The creative landscaping is gorgeous, and seeing all the hummingbirds really made my stay. I loved the easy walk across the road down to the river where I saw many different species of birds including ospreys. Thank you Windborne Bed & Breakfast for a remarkable stay!!

We loved there company so much with breakfast, Marc showed us his garden, tried cherry tomato’s, and explored the acreage. Mirja’s art was STUNNING. I would give anything to have a piece in my own home. The aesthetic in the house was so nice, grandfather clock, wooden chair. Simply loved it all. 100% coming back. Worth every penny ! L	Leila Schwartz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hosts were so very accommodating for a late short notice booking. Even stayed up to greet us. Bed was sooo comfortable and enjoyed having a tub my 6'6 husband could soak in. Was so very quiet and had beautiful views. Can't wait until our next visit.
