Two stars is for their delivery time-line. Ordered early Jan just got the last of my order mid April. Took 8 weeks to get the first part of my order. Seed quality seems to be ok but will not be ordering from WDS next year.

After repeated calls regarding very expensive Tomato Seeds that did not germinate, I was asked to travel 30+km to bring back a Receipt for $4.95! Insolent and apparently new people to deal with who whine about upset customers. NOT recommended.

So far I'm not impressed. We placed an order using their printable form and emailing it in and received an automated email replay saying they are 2-3 weeks behind in entering orders and they would prefer us to submit our order online. We would have preferred to order and pay online, in fact we were expecting to do that, but we could not find any way to get to an online order page. If there is a way to order online, they need to sort out their website so that we can actually find the right page. Update: So I finally figured it out. To place an order online, you have to click on the link that says "Download the 2021 Catalogue", way down at the bottom of the main page, in small print. There is a button on the page to download the 2022 catalogue, which downloads a PDF version of their current catalogue, so why anyone would ever think to click on "Download the 2021 Catalogue" to order seeds for this year is beyond me. They need to change their website to make it easier to order online. Maybe this is why they are swamped with telephone and paper orders and their order entry is 2-3 weeks behind? Update 2: We received our seed order in good time. It came in around mid-March, which is fine. I've updated my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. I still fell that their webside could use some improvement with respect to making it easier to get to the online ordering section, but otherwise, the company has done a good job. They replied promptly to my recent email request for an update, and they delivered our complete seed order to us in good time.

What a journey from December last year from today when I received the second order and something that was on backorder from a previous order. I was emailing WDS many times to find out when my orders will be delivered and every time Karen provided a detailed email with updates. Excellent customer service. I was skeptical to order from this company seeing all the bad reviews but I ordered anyway. It was worth the waiting. For me it is important to see my seeds germinating, growing into nice flowers and a nice packaging with detailed information about how to grow them. By the way the most fussy flower "Lisianthus" germinated 100% in 7 days. I will order again from WDS for sure in the near future .

Product Quality is 5 star based on two years of orders. Service and Delivery is 1 star, now based on 3 years. The last two years have been long delays while being left in the dark wondering when you will get the order and if you will even get your full order. You can pull the supply chain and covid card but the 2 star review is directly related to customer service and lack of communication/assurance. I've been waiting now 5 weeks for my order (officially 1 full week late from their original message with nobody reaching out). Ordered from OSC the same time, took them a week. Now I'm seeing my local Walmart has their seeds out - it kinda hurts knowing your trying to support smaller businesses and being punished for it while also paying a little premium. I would gladly continue doing business with William Dam Seeds if they improved their customer relations. Imagine any other business or service taking your money and not telling you when you'll get your product with no way of finding out - if you feel that is unacceptable, it is and this will be the last year I place an order with them until they prove they can do better.

Never dealt with these people prior to this year. I paced an order recently hoping to get it in time to start seeds indoors. Their email stated 5-7 weeks. UNACCEPTABLE. They certainly take your money right away. No where on their site did I seed a time line. Asked to cancel and a refund and have sent a couple of emails but no reply. I ordered from Saturday seeds in Guelph and received them within the week. So disappointed.

I like the selection of seeds, but my orders just are not coming in on time and it's really important to get some seeds started early. I somewhat understood last year when we were under lock down even though other seed companies were able to get them out on time but they said they would fix it this year. When I called about back ordered seeds, customer service was less then helpful or apologetic. I will go somewhere else next year to order my seeds. It's not worth the worry and the hassle.

I am very disappointed with William Dam Seeds. For the second year, I got my seeds at the end of March (some for plants that should have been started in late February), more than 8 weeks after ordering. Seeds from all other suppliers have long been received! Also they used Canada Post for shipping rolls of garden cover - the package was huge and Canada Post does not make home deliveries for large items...They should be using services like UPS which are more reliable for large packages. This is the last year I order from this company...sorry to say because we've been using them for many years.
