★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a truly fantastic experience with Mike at Wild Current. I highly recommend Wild Current's guided canoe tours and am so glad we booked this while we were visiting Jasper. Our tour was in Sept 2017, and the weather was a little unpredictable, but Mike reached out to us in advance to suggest a later departure due to the temperature, and had plenty of blankets and rain gear in case we needed it. Mike was so kind and knowledgeable, providing information on Pyramid Lake and local history, answering all our questions, pointing out wildlife (we saw a bald eagle, muskrat and several elk) and providing lots of recommendations (he even drew a map to guide us where we might see moose and other wildlife during the rest of our trip...because of him we saw several moose!) The canoe trip was so enjoyable, incredibly scenic and even included a break with hot drinks and a variety of delicious snacks. The handcrafted cedar canoe was a true work of art and added to the entire experience. We thought about renting a canoe on our own, but I'm so glad we opted to do this instead. Even with all the great hiking and sightseeing we did, we will remember this as one of the highlights of our trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a private canoe tour. Mike is an experienced guide. He's knowledgable to the area and the wild life. He's also a great host that for the whole tour, we didn't need to worry a thing. We were trying to track the animals but we had no luck. I highly recommend this tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We definitly recommend this experience upon your arrival in Jasper. We did a half day at Pyramid Lake. Not only did we enjoy being alone on this magical lake, but we mostly appreciated discovering the local wildlife and history thanks to Mike! He shared his passion and knowledge with us, which positively impacted the next few days we had in Jasper! Thank you for this amazing memory!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience on the guided public trip on pyramid lake. Unfortunately we didn't see any spectacular wildlife, Mike made the trip a great experience (he is one of the three founders running WCO). He really thought of everything: blankets for occasional rain, binoculars, cake, fruits, tea, hot chocolate for the brake. Nothing there to improve, he even picked us up from the hotel without us asking first. Would definitely book again and perhaps look at the 3 day adventure they have posted on the website

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The guided tour in Pyramid lake was an epic experience. We paddled in a very tranquil lake with no one else around and mind blowing backdrops of the Rockies. Mike shared his passion for wild life and entertained us for almost 3 hours. He surprised us with a halfway break in a small beach and he surprised us with hot drinks and cakes! I could not recommend this more. Bravo Mike!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a canoe on Wednesday to paddle Maligne Lake - customer service was great! A guy came to our campsite and dropped off our gear the night before and sent us a few texts to provide information which was great to refer to because I have a horrible memory haha. Canoe was easy to access at the lake and we had a great time. Thanks again!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mike made our family's day! (2 adults and a 34 month old).
We reached out to him on a short notice, through text, and he was prompt to squeeze us in the same day and to our surprise it was a private family trip! just us three and Mike. We paddled away on the amazing pyramid lake, tranquil and peaceful! our 34mo old enjoyed a lot as well, trying to help out with a small paddle just for him. Mike was patient, genuinely amazed at lake's beauty, and helped us see two amazing bald eagles perched high and then soaring away. We felt 200% safe and felt so grateful for Mike! lastly Mike's quality of work shows through the fact that he was in no rush to get paid - told us to take our time and pay him when he invoices us through email, later after reaching home (who does that). So happy we chose Mike and we would highly recommend him for a great time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic trip, highly recommended! The lake we originally planned to go on was frozen but Mike was easy to get in touch with and rearranged it at our convenience. It was a beautiful handmade canoe which was very well equipped. Mike's guiding was fantastic and we saw a variety of wildlife. He had even arranged refreshments including taking into account dietary requirements. The scenery was breathtaking and we would recommend this tour to anyone in the area.
