You get to cut your own heckin trees, i mean place is pre lit, and then on top of that they just Givin out free hot doge and hot choc.

Our family has been coming to this Tree Farm experience for years. It's a part of our tradition to come and find our tree and indulge in hot dogs and hot chocolate together, it's part of the value of the cost of the tree as well. We are usually met with lovely hosts. We were outraged by the experience this time, not with the tree, but with the staff who were there after we found our tree. As there is less light to work with these days, we got to the farm at 3:45 pm. We knew we had little time to find the tree. We found one and tied it up on the roof, headed down to pay for it. The light had just gone down. I asked what time they close, they said "at dark, or five, which is now". I was warming my hands by the fire where an employee was heating herself a hotdog. My sister asked if was roasting a hot dog or warming my hands. I said "oh, I think they've packed that up". The other host said "no, it's not packed up, you can still have one". The employee having just finished heating her hot dog says in a most curt and rude way "You can have one if you hurry it up as we'd like to get home". I said "forget it, we're leaving". My sister said "oh but we come here and this is part of our tradition. I said "let's go. The other host seeing we were upset said "Thank you, Merry Christmas". The other employee having just eaten her hot dog yelled loudly, and bruskly, "I said you could have one!" We said "goodbye, we're out of here". I said to my Sister "was she seriously talking to us that way" Needless to say, we sped out of there. We come there each year as a part of tradition and experience. The employee was absolutely the most obnoxious, rude person we've met there and if we hadn't already tied up the tree and paid, we would have dropped the tree right there, not paid and never come back. Now we will just never come back. Used to be the people who worked there embodied the Christmas spirit, were relatives of the ownership and were kind to their customers. Again part of why it's worth it to pay for a "Forty dollar" tree, when you don't have to. Guess we'll be trekking all the way to deep Nanaimo next year to the Gogo farm, get a copy of his CD, a cookie and a cheaper tree. Won't be back. These people were the worst, Don't worry, we'll make sure everyone knows how much things have changed. Tis the season to find the spirit of Christmas elsewhere.

The Staff are Great! Huge selection of trees of all kinds.....free Hot Chocolate and Hotdig roast by the fire....awesome family experience every year.

Stopped by last weekend to pick up the best Christmas tree EVER! I think it was a White Pine? Anyway, the lady's were just amazing and the hot chocolate was so delicious. Don't go plastic. Don't deny your kids the lifelong memory of a real Christmas with a real tree.
