I don't normally write negative reviews but I felt so "scammed" by this business that I have no other choice. I was trying to purchase a Yamaha generator during Yamaha's Fall Power Play promotion where $400 would have been deducted from the regular price. Mr. Mike (terrible sales associate) took the $400 off but added another $200 for PDI. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I called Parkland in Dauphin and Winnipeg Sports and Leisure and they charge a reasonable $50 Freight and PDI combined. Why 4 times the price, Mr. Mike??? Stop blindfolding your bread makers - your customers. No business in their right mind charges $200 for a generator setup. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR LACK OF HONESTY!!!

I agree with D W...I have many dealings with Mike and Wheat City. They ride what they sell and know their product.

Dealt with Mike and staff on an Autopac. Lost my patience with Mike on the whole process, but quickly came to realize that my anger should have been directed at Autopac. I have learned from many sources that Autopac would just as soon not deal with any recreational vehicles. Sad. We pay them enough too. I have also learned that dealerships don't want to deal with Autopac either, as bill payments can take all too many months to collect. In some cases, they put more into the repairs then Autopac will pay out on. Get this, Autopac doesn't do full damage appraisals, they leave it to the dealerships, but don't pay them for that service. So the dealership has to eat the cost of what could be a couple of hours of labor, to peel back the layers and investigate structural damages. Bottom line, thanks for your patience with my frustrations Mike, and your quick safety inspection upon repair completion.

TransCanada pushed me away because they didn't get to double dip on the tire markup and the installation. Couldn't be happier because now I found the boys at Wheat City Cycle. They had the bike for all of two hours, lubed up the chain and everything for me, I don't even think it was $80 after the balance. TransCanada wanted $95 for the swap and $25 to balance. Thanks for being the better option WCC, I look forward to a fruitful relationship moving forward.

Although I didn't buy anything the staff was friendly and helpful I only stopped in because I had heard they had ebikes and I wanted to see how many they had and which brands they carried. They did have a few if you're in the market.

Just happened to notice some of the negative reviews when I was looking up their phone number so I'll have to share my own experience. I have dealt with Mike off and on for many years depending on what bikes I have owned and have always found him and his staff to be super helpful, very reasonable, and always felt that I was being treated fairly. I also recently bought a new bike from them and couldn't be happier with the extra effort they went to getting the model I wanted and dealing with a factory recall so I could get on the road. I think a lot of times when it comes to our toys we want everything yesterday and expect these shops to have all the parts we could ever want sitting on the shelf for us when we get there. In my opinion we are very lucky in Brandon to have businesses like Wheat City Cycle and Trans Canada Motorsport. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either of them to anyone, depending on your brand preference.
