★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Westwood lake while doing some geology fieldwork in the Nanaimo area. This is a great campground with a awesome atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and the campground itself is very quaint and clean. Thanks for hosting us, and we will be sure to return! Having the lake be right next to the camp was awesome. Recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So unbelievably horrible. They judged how we sounded on the phone. Took our credit card number and told us they had space then we drove the whole way there and then told us we couldn’t stay. Because they were judging how we sounded and looked. Which is three 33 to 35 year olds that were planning to stay one night and then catch an early morning flight the next day. Complete disrespect when we showed up. Absolutely do not support this place. So many other beautiful parks in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Favorite spot, the family that owns it are always working,cleaning and maintaining the park and always make time for chit chat. Very safe and quiet great community. Sites are large and clean. No issues with water,power sewer. Literally steps away from the lake. Very reasonable rates ? laundry room and washrooms on site. Office sells a variety of things if you need something in a pinch. This is our third year staying here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We rented the "cottage" for 5 nights, but because of a booking mishap on their end they ended up booking (and charging) us for 6 nights. this soured our vacation that we have been planning for 2 years, throught the pandemic.
There were other small issues with the "cabin" and the extra fees added up quickly and after eveything was said and done it was really just a medeocre experience at Westwood Lake Camping and cabins, I know the rates are on the webiste but we ended up paying $1264 for 5 nights which is the same price as a 5 night stay in a Hilton hotel.
we won't be recommending this place to anyone and we won't be staying here again.
