Over the course of 5 hours, the nurse checked on my grandmother once during my visit and that was only to give meds. Overall, it's been difficult to get updates as nurses are too busy to take a call and messages don't always get passed on to them. There seems to be a lack of empathy and compassion; staff are just there to do a job.

If I could give Zero Stars I would. COVID and the ensuing roller coaster has been tough on nurses. We all wish this craziness was done. But "security" threatening to throw a person in need of medical attention in the ER Waiting room out on the street over having their mask down for too long on first offense, to a non-belligerent who has food in hand and clearly absent minded and slightly out of it is unacceptable. I have never been more utterly shocked and appalled.

OMG...you mean I can't take my 80+ father and my 80+ Mother into the hospital and help them get settled for their 4 hour + wait , then leave !! Nope I could not. I was told oh so nicely that one of us would have to leave, even though I was only going to be there to assist getting them settled as sometimes they get confused. Very poor Job Stony Plain Hospital. This is unacceptable.

This is by far the worst hospital I have ever been to. It is mind boggling that they do not find out your issue upon arrival and force you to wait in line just to see a disinterested nurse who spent 5 minutes chatting with her friend before seeing a patient. I was there with a severe migraine during pregnancy and they did not ask or assess the condition of my child at all. I threw up while I waiting in the Emergency lineup. The pace was glacial and there are so many steps that could be skipped if the system had an ounce of efficiency. I gave a history and they took vitals, and then I had to go to registration… which could have been done all at one station. I ended up leaving before even being seen because it was 3 hours later. Next time, I’ll make the drive to St. Albert!!

I had to go to the ER in the late afternoon on Nov 24th. The staff were wonderful, as usual. I was seen quickly. Tests and medications given quickly. All the staff were very pleasant and caring. I only go there when I know I am having problems and need help. We are so lucky to have this hospital here. So sad that some people give this place bad reviews - triage is priority based people!

I've always been supportive of the health care system, i understand that long wait times sometimes happen and I'm okay with that. The only thing that is bothering me is I was in on Sunday and wait 7 hours (no problem) was told to come back the next day for an ultrasound and then the doctor would go over my results. I don't feel like I should have to wait again for another 7+ hours. I was told to come back and as far as I'm concerned I did my time (waiting). I'm not coming in with a new complaint, I'm continuing from my complaint the night before and to have to wait another 7 hours just to get the results is unreasonable.

Went in for an issue and the waiting room was not super busy. I realize it could be a but if a wait but each time I go there it just boggles my mind. This time I need to give a urine sample ..then hold on to it for 3 hours before seeing a doc to give it to them. Really? Why not stick my info on the bottle & give it to the lab so it's ready by the time I do see a doc? So much redundancy in the system. So much waste during this crazy time. I feel bad for staff. It's such an overwhelming place to work but I wish they could have "practical " workplace policies in place. Besides that, nurses were great. (Just run off their feet)

Don’t waste your time, just head to one of the busy city hospitals. Wait times are always posted at approximately 2 1/2 hours online but no one leaves the waiting room without a 6-10 hour wait, treatment is appalling, and nurses/doctors seem to be more interested in conversing with coworkers and discussing what they brought for lunch than assisting anyone waiting for care. At least they don’t discriminate, whether you’re coming in for a splinter or with shortness of breath you’ll still get the same treatment/wait time. ? Absolutely appalling.
