Amazing getaway. This luxurious, historic hotel is so comfortable that you don't want to leave. A great escape in a small town away from the big, busy cities. The property has lush grounds. The rooms are large with tons of character and charm.

Had my wedding here and it was fantastic. I would recommend using this venue for many reasons. The staff is incredible, hard working, and flexible. We were allowed shots and doubles unlike other venues. The food was delicious and the honeymoon suite was gorgeous and spacious. The tree covered property and chapel area was perfect for photos. Deanna worked with us for every little detail and took care of all the ordering for rentals.

We had brunch yesterday at the restaurant and were not impressed. The food didn't correspond to the Westover Inn's reputation for culinary refinement. We were seated outdoors. However, our metal chairs had no cushions while the chairs of other customers did have cushions. The lobster/shrimp brioche was served on a bun which was no better than what one would buy in a supermarket. The amount of greens served with the eggs Benedict was puny. Serving ordinary potato chips as a side dish (with the brioche sandwich) is not something one would expect of a restaurant with any claim to sophistication. That's not cooking! The server should ask if the clients would like the coffee served together with dessert or separately. Our coffee was brought first and was cold by the time dessert arrived. The crème brûlée dessert was quite good, but the chocolate bouchons appeared to be store-bought 'two bite brownies'. Nothing special about that. We do understand that in these hard times, staffing and other problems do not make it easy for restaurants to maintain their usual standards. And so we hope that this meal was an exception to what is the Westover Inn's normal practices. Keep trying : )

Hurrah!! Spring is here and the Westover Inn is open again for dining. We had a late lunch with a visitor from Europe and had the sun room to ourselves. The patio will now be open. Deanna tells us they're ready for the Mother's Day Deluge and we are grateful for their support of the FOL and Community Players earlier in the month. We're looking forward to summer at the Westover -- fine food, great location and friendly staff.

Magical. Out of a picture book. The room was comfortable and private. The communication was exceptional. The fellow kept in touch with us through out our trip from Toronto to the Manor. I would suggest more light in the grounds to allow late walks. Also, some Plastic cups or glasses would have been nice. Night side table lamp not working. I think Covid is been used as an excuse to an extreme in the industry removing coffee makers, hair dryers which is ok but disposable glasses at least should be provided in the room. Still this Place is a gem, unique and with minor improvements I would love to be back.

The room they put us in was in a building off to the side of the main building, and as we observed that our car was the only one on the property late at night and even at 2am when I went to get something from the car, I mentioned in my review that if we were the only guests, it would have been nice if they'd put us in the main building instead of one off to the side. They said they were sold out that night ? and "if you had dined outside that evening you would have seen that we were very busy. It is always best to book the room you would like to be in when you reserve instead of hoping for a complimentary upgrade. We hope to see you again soon." We were not looking for a complimentary upgrade, we were unaware that all the rooms in the main building were considered an upgrade - we just felt a bit 'lonely' being put off to the side since there wasn't anyone in our building either. The room we were put in was already overpriced as it was ridiculously cramped and not nice, so why would we pay to stay in their main building - basically, why would we go there again? There are places either priced for good value or clearly worth the premium price you're paying, and this place wouldn't be one of them. Mediocre food too. I don’t even remember what I had for dinner but the dessert, their homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream, was like the worst I’ve ever had.
