Spoke with Alex to find a new apartment. She made suggestions and helped me find the perfect one for me at a good price. I tried to move in early or see the unit before move in and they would not let me. Moving in: I was promised 2 hours for using the elevator upon move in, but it was double booked so it was cut down to about 45 mins. Moving in was easy as there is a loading area. Apartment: The unit itself is beautiful! The windows are huge and let in so much sunlight in in the afternoon. The balcony is also much larger than expected. I picked the Carr-D floor plan and I absolutely love it! The apartment is amazing, but if you have any issues they usually take forever to get to you. The only bad things are with the water pressure in the shower, which isn’t so great, and the shower head is also very bad. Visitor Parking: One thing that was not mentioned when I signed the lease was that visitors must sign out a first come first serve fob for parking and it must be returned within 24h. The lot on the south side of the building is apparently not owned by the building and only pay parking is permitted there. Amenities: The amenity floor is nice and functional. The gym and yoga rooms are great. The BBQ’s are awesome, but the pet spa and pet run is disgusting and smelly. Area: The neighborhood is okay, but I’ve heard gunshots during the night countless times, and I don’t generally feel safe leaving the apartment late at night. The community itself is safe and there are security guards 24/7. I wouldn’t recommend living in the Weston area. I love how close superstore is as that is where I do most of my groceries. One year review: I have lived here more than a year and they have given me a rent increase notice of 6% which is $100 more per month. Not happy with this, and I’m considering moving out. The rent increase is paused for the meantime due to covid, but once the increases come back I think I’ll be moving out. General opinion: For the price, the amenities you get and the units are beautiful, it’s hard to beat. But the area that you’re living in isn’t very safe and welcoming. It depends if you’d rather save money and live here or pay a bit more and avoid this area all together.

I remember meeting with Nahar the first time when he said I should come and see the studio apartment they have available. I was not expecting to be this amazed by the space, the natural lighting, the view and the clean updated look of this apartment. I instantly fell INLOVE and since then Nahar has been so helpful. There was times I had random questions and I’d email him and he’ll answer back promptly. The service is amazing! Nahar made moving in so easy and simple! Thank you Nahar, for all your help!

I am absolutely thankful to Nahar for his time and his professionalism towards securing us a place. It does not only have ample of natural light but it’s high ceilings and windows are something that amaze me a lot. From the amenities, to the people, from the view to the friendly management, we absolutely adore what this building has in store for us! ❀️?

Started loving this place again! All thanks to the new management team who is up and running and started clearing all the problems especially Mary and Sarah.. incredible people, super supportive, and now I feel like someone got our back and yes, all the other management members back end as well! Thank you West22 team for all the beautiful amenities you provide, more importantly very well maintained and hygiene. Proud to decide to be the lucky resident of West22?

I am in Toronto from very long time and recently I needed to find a place to rent in a block of flats. I arrived in my search to this building on 22, John street managed by West22. I was very nicely impressed by both the design, the Amenities and the look and finishes of the apartments visited as well of the whole inside ambient. The management was extremely professional and polite and the communication was great. I'd recommend to everybody this building as being pretty fresh and new, not only with a nice architecture and functionality, but also with great look-and-feel.

I stayed in this building from July 2019 to June 2021. My unit was at 22nd floor and was awesome with amazing view. I never had any issue in my unit. Move in: My move-in experience was not that good as the construction was still going on when I moved and I hardly got like 45 minutes to move in. But no complains. Unit: Best thing about any unit in this building is that you get ample of sun light and my unit had an amazing view. Appliances : They were good and I never had any issue. washer and dryer are pretty big and are in the suite. Water & hydro bill: You need to get into contract with Wyse. I feel their price were inflated. I used to pay on an average 125 to 180 CAD per month for 2 bathrooms in use. Gym: It is well equipped with necessary equipment for full body work out. My only concern was that some time kids use to come in the gym and would play with treadmill and other equipment that too without any adult supervision putting them self in risk. Maintenance request: Maintenance request were addressed as soon as possible. They had a good system of managing maintenance request. Terrace Patio: Simply amazing. Great place to have dinner with family members. Staff members: Kind and polite. But they were difficult to reach out over the call. You can always drop in and they will help you. Mail box and room: Convenient and easy to set up. Parking: Parking is shared with other building. Parking space for a car is adequate. Elevator: Elevator is a nightmare. Out three elevator, one use to be down all the time. I was always confused, how come in a new building elevator can have so many issues. There were times I used to wait in line to get into elevator for like 20 to 30 minutes. Security in the building: Adequate and 24 hours. Security cameras are not installed at each floor but only at important places like entry points and Elevator and at amenities floor. Monthly events: West22 used to organized monthly events pre-COVID and they were fun. COVID protocol: COVID Protocol were in place and well displayed. Neighborhood: I feel it was little sketchy. I didn't feel safe at night. At day time it was good and safe. During my stay there were like 2 separate shooting incidents. You can search it over Twitter with #westonroad, #Lawrence or #janestreet. Places near by: One of my favorite place is "Weston Lions Park". Walking distance from West22. And do try the Texas Chicken. Every year Weston Farmer's Market is organized at West22. It has some of the best fruits and vegetables. Move out: It was a good experience. Staff was really supportive and understood the stress of moving out and helped us. Overall it was a great experience and Me and my family had an amazing time staying. It is important to note that this building is not covered under rent control as it is a new construction and you might get rent increase which is not in accordance with rent control. I received a rent increase of 6%. Thank you West22 team members for being supportive.
