Food is average. Price is decent. Service is very slow. But everyone is very friendly! Campus bar so you can't expect anything too crazy. :)

No service, food is often bland and the hours that are open are not during peak times... closed at 7pm. Bartenders can’t mix drinks for the life of them and the beers flat. Lame social events.

I was really bad the waiter took forever to get are table. They are always out of what I want to drink. The food is no cooked correctly they always get my order wrong. Not going there. I f they get new management the place would be what it use to be. Hope you can improve on that. don't eat there lets just 100% boycott the place if possible.

This pub closes way too soon to be a sufficient university bar. Beer is flat because they poor it with the same systems that the pop comes from. Bartenders can't mix simple drinks, and the food is often from the freezer or microwaved. There are barely any social events.

I’ve frequented the hub for the last three years, it was always fairly decent for a campus pub. Until this year... I’ve tried multiple times to get a bite between classes, nothing. From reading the recent reviews it seems there is a self service model in place? Regardless, when someone is sitting at a table for half an hour the staff should mention β€œhey, if you want to order it’s self service”. Nothing. Multiple staff members walked by and made eye contact. Nothing. Maybe put a note or sign on the tables with instructions? Disappointing experience.

After hearing The Hub was closing and getting a new look, I was excited to try the new place. I was disappointed yet again. The food is unbelievably mediocre and boring. Chicken tenders taste like the stereotypical fast food, the pasta wasn't great, the perogies tasted like something I could make at home, and the mac-and-cheese-bites were basic. The burger I would give a 6.5-7/10 though, so that's good I guess. (And yes lol, I have personally tasted all these items - I've gone to West Gate Social 3 separate times to give this place a chance.) I am glad they changed the service where you have to come up to the counter to order. The Hub waitresses (was it their first job or were they just terrible at it?!) were extremely slow for everything. Took forever just to get a drink order in, forever to get the food (the 3 separate times I went there was always only 1 chef!!) and I had to track down the waitress just to pay and get the hell out of there. On the bright side, everything is priced right. At $6.50. And that is the absolute most I would pay for the food - including the burger. Sorry WGS, you're still missing the mark and I won't be coming back again.

Drinks are well priced, food has improved but still the saltiest fries ever. Self service is nice since it took a while before it became the social to get a drink; however, it is not comforting to leave my bags at the table and stand in line for 10-20 mins to order. Also they do a terrible job of reminding you to grab utensils which are at the till and hard to get to politely after you paid already. Great idea in theory but losing the value of good old customer service.

Before returning to school I have spent almost 10 years in the customer service industry. Drinks are very reasonably priced but the service is very inconsistent. Staff has been rude, and inconsistent with their β€œbar rules” every time I have been here. Sometimes I’m told I can only buy one, one ounce drink at a time. Other times I can buy two drinks and a shot at the same time. Staff don’t know their AGLC laws, and are rude to the customers. Also last call is 30 minutes before they close, and they don’t tell you or have that posted. The one bartender is unbelievably rude, and should probably never work in customer service again. This was the second time I’ve been here and received cold and rude service from her. She was working the evening of December 3rd.
