D	Duy Nguyen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lived there for years. Level of services have degraded after each year. Elevators are usually off services for repairs, 2-3 out of the 7 washers are either broken or need cleaning, dryers don't function or doesn't dry your clothing properly, hot water boiler will go down for "maintenance" 3-4 times per year and indoor garage is dusty and the parking space are small. The positive of this place is the location which is downtown.

My family member told me that there have been multiple floors and apartments reporting they have bed bugs now over the last several months, and Taggart has done little to nothing to try to contain the issue. So disgusting.
B	Brittany Cloutier on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All building staff are really great and helpful. You can't beat this location with the Sobeys so close by. Laundry room isn't temperature controlled so it's boiling hot in the summer. Washer/dryers are at a decent price of $2 per cycle but there's always at least one that's out of service. If you ever get locked out, building maintenance is thankfully very quick to let you back in but expect an insane $40 fee to do so. Also expect to get stuck in the elevator at least once while you live here and hope it doesn't happen in the summertime because you'll end up sweating buckets. The building has a mail room rather than your mail being delivered to your door. For some reason there's no Canada Post parcel locker (even though they're free) so expect your parcels to be available at Bank/Gilmour which is 7 minutes away.
M	Meghan Dailey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too many neighbors with bedbugs, indoor parking that smells like a sewer, and run down everything. Old appliances, drafty windows from 1964 that rattle with every bit of wind, and gross laundry room with busted machines. Cameras are not recording anything, so packages are regularly stolen from the mail room, and there's no security, despite the cameras being there.
N	Naymar nurmad on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ VERY bad service and the receptionist hang up on me when I was asking her questions. She was very rude and disrespectful on the phone without a reason. Her name was poppy. I asked her what was the reason you hang-up on me and she transferred my call without giving me a reason. I regret trying to get to this company. Non of the workers answer their calls too, if the landlord sees this, I will advice him/her to check on his/her team management because its giving a bad reputation about this company.
K	Kara Henry on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience here was fine. It's pretty much exactly what you you expect for a very inexpensive rental downtown. Very no frills, but good enough if you need somewhere cheap to live for a while. The superintendent and on-site cleaning staff were both very kind and addressed my concerns quickly when my heat was broken or my sink was clogged. I have heard horror stories from my neighbours about bed bugs but I lived here for a few years and never had any issues.

Some nice people living there, but in the time I lived there we dealt with roaches, bed bugs and mice on more than one occasion. I was advised our toilet would be replaced and it never got done over 4 years. Windows were supposed to be cleaned this June and that never happened. The appliances are small, and very dated. Old electric heaters and there is no A/C. The pool and saunas are closed due to COVID, but before that, were poorly maintained. We had parcels stolen numerous times, and I had my bike stolen by someone who lived in the building. The security cameras don't work and Taggart takes zero responsibility for keeping their mail room secure. This is not a building that would be considered modern or immaculately maintained by any stretch of the imagination. That said, some positives about living in this building is the relatively cheap rent and proximity to restaurants, government office buildings, & public transit. The property management staff were for the most part nice people and generally kept the common areas clean. Beware, Taggart is looking to build a 27 storey building just behind 257 Lisgar. Construction noise was already a nightmare, and this will make it even worse for more than a year, at least.
E	Eve Gasse on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I almost gave one star because the last few months of my 11.5 years tenancy were an absolute nightmare, but really the first years were good. The location is great, the price is reasonable for the area, the apartment itself had a big bright bedroom and living room, soundproofing is quite good, and early on in my tenancy they updated the hallways and renovated the balconies. Since then though, it went downhill. There have been no significant improvements to the building in years, the windows and doors in most apartments are old and the cold seeps in during the winter. The laundry room is kind of gross, there are often puddles of water from leaking machines, usually there are one or two machines that don't work, and overall there are not enough machines for the size of the building. The pool has been closed more than it's been open for the 11 years I've been there. The staircases are often filthy. There is a theft problem, packages from the mail room have regularly been stolen, and people have started breaking into the storage units in the basement. But worst of all, the building has a massive bed bug infestation. I would NOT recommend renting there unless they make significant improvements and deal with the bed bug issue properly.
