GOOGLE MAPS IS WRONG: Be sure to request directions to "Walker Woods Goodwood" or "Walker Woods Parking". If you put in 'Uxbridge' you will be sent down an unmaintained, icy, steep private road with no access to Walker Woods and on which it is difficult to turnaround safely. You will get stuck! Instead, put in “Walker Woods Parking”, and it will take you to the right (fabulous for hiking) place!

GREAT IF YOU CAN FIND IT: There is a problem with directions on GOOGLE MAPS - If you put in 'Walker Woods Uxbridge' you will be sent to the wrong place on a road that is unmaintained and tough to turn around on especially in winter. It's not safe. Ask for directions to "Walker Woods Goodwood" or "Walker Woods Parking" and Google will send you to one of the trail heads.

This place is nice for walking and has some good inclines too if you want a workout. There's lots of different paths to take but it's well marked with posts at each intersection. The only thing I would be careful about here is there's alot of mountain bikers that will zoom past you without a warning! Because of this, it's good to keep your dog on a leash or they may get hit. But this area is beautiful and we easily found a parking spot.

Great place to do forest things. Parking lot fills up fast on weekends. But that's more of a parking lot thing.

Great place to go for a walk in the woods. The trails are well maintained and there are multiple way points indicated on the maps to make navigation a cinch.

One of my favourite Outdoors places around. It is not leash free so dog owners need to put the leashes on the dogs instead of around their necks. Great place to Mountain Bike and Hike in the summer and cross country ski and Snowshoe in the winter. Remember not to walk or otherwise wreck the cross country ski tracks

Great walking trails. Definitely appreciated the clear trail markings, and the poetry along the way (Cremation of Sam McGee) was a lovely touch!

I've updated the location on the map but note that the parking here is on the road. As someone else mentioned, if you google Walker Woods Parking you'll get a parking lot on the other side of the woods. There are actually 3 entrances on this road where you can enter into these woods. I believe I've marked the middle entrance. Here you will find marker W19 on the walking trail (you won't see the marker from the road, just a small opening into the woods). The trails are well marked but they don't say distances. I'll include a photo of the map. I walked W19 to W20 to W17 that's 1km to give you an idea of distances if the map is to scale which it looks like it is. Continuing to W17, W15, W18 and finishing back at W19 is 2.36km total as per my Garmin watch. The trails vary from wide to narrow depending on which one you take. Lots of tall hills just how I love it. Makes 1km seem farther and more interesting:). For biking, hiking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing in the winter. Includes horse back riding in the summer according to the sign (forgot to take a photo of that).
