The appraiser walked around the house so quickly. This isn’t our first experience with appraisers , I can definitely say this one was extremely poor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If there was a rating of no stars, I would rate them as such. Mrs. Walker herself showed up to do our appraisal, stating that no one else was available. She whizzed around the house and took photos of my old couch which I am not sure what that had to do with my house appraisal. Yet, she managed to not take into account all the upgrades like granite counter tops, back splash, a deck and pergola, stained wooden stairs with iron railing. There has been literally thousands of dollars worth of upgrades.
She compared our house to the most basic ones she could find. In fact she evaluated our house as significantly less than a house that recently sold that is one door down from us, which was used as a rental property for the last decade, with the most basic of finishings and no upgrades. The houses are built in the same phase and by the same builder and are comparable in size and age.
If you are not the same race as Walker and Walker, do not hire them, as your house appraisal will definitely be below market value. If you are not desperate and have a choice, choose another firm. I am a health care professional and do not normally have the time or desire to do reviews, but I hope to help others from having their property undervalued, which can have serious financial consequences.
