About Wainwright Jewellers
My father, Ewald Depner, opened his first jewellery store in Maidstone, Saskatchewan in the early 1950s. His dislike of the provincial sales tax fueled his search for a progressive town in Alberta.
Wainwright’s potential for growth and economic stability allowed his fledgling business to grow here since 1955. For the past sixty-seven years, the people of Wainwright and the surrounding communities have generously supported Wainwright Jewellers and the Depner family with both their patronage and their trust.
Growing up working with my family in the store. My earliest memories include Dad’s Rule Number One: “The most precious thing in this store, is our customer.” Even though dad is gone now, his words and wisdom will always guide us.
We are proud of our past and the work we have accomplished, and we look forward to the future and the promise it holds. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to you all.

I was very pleased at the many options of gorgeous jewelry they have to offer. The variety they have is impressive! I was shown options and pictures to assist me with my decision making process. At no time did I feel rushed. I really felt like it was important to them that I get exactly what I was looking for, which is not all that common in other stores.
They were very prompt and accurate about delivery. The prices are great.
I dealt with various people who work there but most extensively with Jill. I had such amazing service and excellent communication.
I will definitely be back to fulfil any future jewelry needs or wants that I have.

A beautiful bracelet was given to each lady registered, it is a gorgeous piece that I wear all the time and for a gift was very generous! The staff was amazing and friendly! They made me feel so special that day!! Thank you and I will be back for future purchases!!

Two weeks before Christmas (which I assume is their busiest time of year) I was able to get the ring re-sized & back to my fiancé at no extra cost.
