John was a very efficient and comprehensive instructor. He made me feel calm even though it was my first time driving, and was sure to go through the little details in depth so I felt confident going into my test.

I debated for many years on whether or not to learn how to drive with an instructor or family and friends. Finally this year I did decided to take the plunge and try out driving lessons (which would cost as much as a Prada purse) but I was rejected by a few schools due to my working hours and overflow of students in the city. Luckily I came across the VNBC website and was able to speak to John and figure out a schedule for my lessons. This is the first thing you will notice about John, he is a good communicator. Taking lessons with John is without a doubt one of the best decisions I made in life, forget designer shoes or purses! I had no driving experience before I signed up for lessons with John. As I completed each lesson, I realized more and more they were a good investment and how much I needed them as they helped me gain confidence in being behind the wheel and get over my fear of driving. Frankly, I don't think everyone is built to teach and learning from someone you know, there is no guarantee they will teach me everything I need to know on the rules of the road and good driving habits. John is a very skilled instructor and he will not only teach you how to do well on your exams, he will teach you how to be a safe driver. When learning from John he will give you step-by-step instructions, valuable driving tips on and off the road in all kinds of weather conditions, parking and more. Especially under bad weather conditions or during the evening, don't expect a cancellation from John, he is more than happy to teach you how to drive so you can drive in all kinds of situations. Of course, you have the option to cancel...that just means it opens up a spot for another of John's students, he's as busy as any other school! John is so skilled that if you make a mistake, he will be able to tell you exactly what you did wrong and how to fix it. What I find is the most unique about learning from John is not only are you learning how to be a safe driver, you learn how to make others in the car feel safe/comfortable and be alert to unsafe drivers on the road. As I don't own a vehicle and only just received my N, I look forward to taking more lessons with John to finesse my driving skills and prepare for my full license exam. John is a very knowledgeable and calm instructor who helped me pass my class 5 road test in first attempt. He has 25 years driving experience and it can be easily seen in his teaching method. Their prices are pretty reasonable as compared to other driving schools in the town. Their brand new 2020 corolla is butter on the bread for new young drivers. Highly recommended.

John it's a great instructor. I only took couple of lessons before my Class 5 road test and it was extremely helpful! He gives you an excellent insight to what to expect on the exam and how to drive in a safely ordery manner with respect to other users of the road. Knowledgeable and very patient. Recognizes your weak points and help to prioritize those. Worth booking even if you already have your license and just need to refresh your skills.

I passed the class 7 test on my first attempt after taking lessons with VNBC! I had absolutely zero driving experience when I started taking lessons with John, and he really helped me build my confidence, first driving on smaller residential streets and working up to busier roads. John was always punctual, communicated well via text, and he did his best to accommodate my schedule. He is a kind and patient teacher, and I always felt very safe driving with him. I appreciated that he tracked my progress every lesson, so we knew exactly what to work on next time. The instructor's car is a new model, clean, and well-maintained. I took the same car to my test, and it was a seamless experience. The pricing is also fair, and I did not regret taking extra lessons on top of the package on the days leading up to the test. I would not hesitate to recommend VNBC. Book the lessons way in advance because it can get booked very quickly. Thank you John!

If you want to pass your test easily, go with John. He's the best instructor you'll find. In a city like Vancouver where people drive so crazily, he'll teach you how to drive safely. He's straightforward and will explain your mistakes and the risks of them so you become a good and safe driver. I feel very confident on my driving and passed my test easily. Thank you John ?

Passed my Class 5 road test on my first attempt. John really helped me through and assist me every flaws and difficulty i have. I am new to Canada but John really helped me to learn a lot about the rules and safety driving here in BC. Felt like he truly care about his students and assist them to improve their driving skills. I took a total of more than 10 lessons with Mr. John Nguyen for both my Novice and full license road test. With my experience, I wholly recommend John and his driving school. Let's be clear here: a good driving teacher doesn't teach you just to pass the licensing tests. A good driving teacher teaches you the driving logic and mindset that lasts a lifetime, which is far more important in the long run than driving licenses (they're still important tho, don't get me wrong). John is better than good, he's excellent! I don't think I would have passed the two driving exams without his expertise and patient approach. He is very straightforward with his teaching, which is great for new drivers to learn on the spot. Come to classes with an open mind and a desire to always self reflect and grow your driving skills, and I can assure you that not only will you now most likely pass your driving tests, but you will also become a safe and level-headed driver - for your own sake, for your loved ones, and for the sake of the public too!
