Vitalia Naturopathic Doctors Vancouver

I hurt my shoulder in an off-road vehicle accident in May 2017 and even after some intense physio, my range of motion was limited and my sleeping interrupted by the pain - which was getting worse in the months leading up to my visit to Vitalia Healthcare. I was recommended prolotherapy by a few trainers at my gym and am I ever glad I took them up on their recommendation. After reading up on this treatment and talking to friends about it, a few recommended Vitalia as they had been there for different treatments here before and were happy with their experiences. Front of house staff were friendly upon arrival and my appointment time was almost bang on. Dr Waller was thorough and professional from beginning to end of my treatment. I am not a fan of needles but I hardly realized I had been stuck thanks to her steady hand. Dr Waller's explanation of the post-treatment physical side-effects was highly accurate. A single treatment was all it took for my shoulder to be back to almost 100% which I am ecstatic about. Vitalia Healthcare and Dr Waller get three thumbs up!

Been visiting this clinic for over 3 years for a range of health, and anti-aging consultation and remedies. The support team members are always friendly and work efficiently. I've met with Dr. Alibhai, Dr. Luis and Dr. Waller for different reasons and they have been very professional, sincere and kind. I would definitely recommend Vitalia Healthcare to my family and friends.

I believe investing in Vitalia health care is substantially costly and yet you cant be sure of improved outcomes. The Brightside is that they offer comprehensive testing, which are a bit pricy but informative and interesting, which you can use to navigate your health, and actually I have not found an organization in Vancouver after lot of search that offers these many tests in different categories. I would like to fairly share my experience here with Vitalia. I initially went to Vitalia September 2019 due to hormonal imbalance and gerd issues. I had an initial consultation with Dr. Luis, which was priced at $195 (no tax). This session was an hour, I found myself most of the time talking, and giving details about my health concerns. Toward the end of session (around 15-20 min), dr. luis gave me some useful recommendation about my diet and suggested some testing and some supplements. I took the supplements costing around $50. I waited quite a while and in summer 2020 when I was financially a bit more stable, due to digestive issues and not being able to eat properly, I decided to get those tests done, which costed me around $525 with shipping. The tests are very interesting and useful and I liked them, however, the results are not given to you, unless you book another extended appointment, which for me cost around $140. I didn’t find this quite fair and I believe since you already have paid the price for the tests and results come with the test, the results should be released to you and follow-up appointment shouldn’t have been imposed. But, anyway you will need to do a follow-up to consult next steps, but in my humble opinion I think that should be optional, and given that you have already paid for the test, the results should be released to you. So dr. luis recommended some supplements to take according to those tests. Again, I waited for a while and about a month ago, I bought the suggested supplements priced at $200. I religiously took them as instructed along with incorporating a good diet (only occasional sins: coffee and sweets; I was eating variety of fruits, vegetables and grains, and proportionately white and red meat; very limited carbs). After three weeks, I was feeling nauseous and feeling very full all the time. Eventually one morning I woke up and throw up. I was feeling weak all that day that I went to the hospital. They did some testing and every thing turned out to be normal. I emailed dr.luis and she believed this was due to one of the supplements. So, I just stopped having all of them for couple of days and I started feeling better. I booked another follow-up appointment with her cost at $60 so that she could just tell me I have to change the supplement, and go on a sugar cleanse diet for couple of weeks (something I believe could be told as a reply to my email mentioning I had throw up). I even had 3 minutes spare from my 15 min appointment. Anyway, I did go and bought the supplement cost at 50. I tried it the past two days and literally, doesn’t make me feel good. I consulted with a GI specialist and given that I have gerd, he told me that I should not even have some of those supps. So, my point is after investing this much and complying to protocols that are so-called individualized and based on testing, you would expect better outcomes. This was my experience and unfortunately the process did not quite work for me, but I love the testing they offer and it responds to my curious mind. Hope this help some one else.

Love the IV clinic at Vitalia health care. I have been seeing Dr Alibhai for 5 years. I continue to see her because I love her knowledge and she takes really good care of me! She is a great listener and takes the time to understand your health concerns and treats you based on what your body needs. I highly recommend seeing her as your doctor. The clinic is very relaxing and everyone is professional and very caring! Love the team !

Dr.Alibhai is extremely caring, conscientious and flexible! I find it so easy to open up to her. She listens very carefully and empathetically. When she offers help I can see she is carefully considering the entire picture and not approaching things in a cookie-cutter way. Each appointment with her has moved me forward in my health! I am very grateful to her!

Dr. Alibhai was so good with my daughter. She took her time, and genuinely seemed incredibly invested in figuring out what might be going on with her digestive system. I felt truly, truly cared for by a clearly smart doctor.

I went to Vitalia for a few years and truthfully didn't see much of an improvement in my areas of most concern. I learned that even in naturopathic medicine, the approach can be very standardised rather than personalised. In my experience the clinic takes a very standardised approach. It's difficult for me to write a review like this since I went here for so long, but I wasted a lot of time and money at this clinic. The people who work here are good people, but they lack A LOT of knowledge on health and naturopathic medicine- and I learned that after finding another doctor. One example is my practitioner at Vitalia ignored certain numbers on my test results claiming they were “normal” and I found out later through another doctor they weren’t. This unfortunately is one of many examples. I’ve had friends come to this clinic and have similar experiences with other doctors here as well, not just mine. If the practitioners at this clinic were to expand their scope of knowledge it would be of great benefit to both them and their future patients.
