Visionary Law - Winnipeg

I switched over to Visionary Law after a really negative experience with a different Family Law firm. From the initial consultation on, they've done an excellent job of keeping an open line of communication, and ensuring I'm kept informed on everything going on with my case file. As someone without a lot of knowledge about what was involved in the process, they did a great job of explaining everything. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a Family Law practitioner.

Started off great. My partner and I felt confident with the lawyers, but then we started to not hear back from anyone and felt like we had no idea what was happening. My partner and I were paying about $1000 a week for the services and even though the lawyers were responsible and friendly it quickly became more about the money then our actual concerns. A few times we received calls saying that our file was not being worked on due to outstanding payments and we were not able to address any of our issues until fees were payed. They would lock us out of our messaging account so we could not access any important documents or information. At the end of a hearing a court order was supposed to be drafted and completed and the lawyers refused to do this until more payments were given, we payed but nothing happened, we payed but nothing happened for months... It is actually law that a lawyer complete a court order after a hearing regardless of payment... and even though we payed they still wanted more and refused to complete their legal duties no matter what we did. Our case had nothing to do about the wellbeing of a child and everything to do with how much income they could make off us. We have a extremely urgent matter and when we switched lawyers our files were withheld becuase of the fees. We finally were able to get them after our new lawyer worked hard for weeks pressing them for the files but it was getting absolutely absurd with the costs. I was very disappointed with the lack of professionalism with visionary.

Communication from the firm was wonderful quick and always detailed and explained. They all were very understanding and helpful through everything. Nikki was of the outmost enjoyable lawyer to have by my side and help through all of my proceedings. Her quick responses to all emails and calls made the ordeal much easier to go through. Lillian and the firm I would highly recommend for anyone that needs help and answers.

It was very complicated because both the Canadian Law and International Law were involved. My lawyer Nikki A. Evans had to work with more than 400 sheets of evidence. She had to go to court with a big wheel suitcase full of my documents. Before her, the case was conducted by three other lawyers who either made a lot of errors or did nothing and only wasted precious time. After those three lawyers’ failed work, Nikki A. Evans actually had to start my case from scratch when I first approached her in 2019. I am happy that I have found her. False advertising! They offer a free 30 minute consultation and when I reached out to them they said they were "too busy". They need to remove that from their website. Definitely will not being using them going forward.

The whole team provided a great atmosphere and environment to resolve my issue. They were very responsive and timely and provided tremendous communication through every step in the process. I recommend this firm to anyone seeking legal guidance, support, or service.
