★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ummm.....I was geographically in the location of VIRCS today. So I did not go there.
I was actually there because my white-indigenous companion spied the Shwarma Food Truck parked in the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre parking lot.
My friend says the guy who does the Shwarma (s)* is a refugee from Syria who used to be an engineer.
The food (roughly translated to Donair-Kebab-Wrap-Falafel) sandwiches are at least a foot long and cost about $10 bux.
French fries are cheap at $3 bux a serving and double fried.
It is delectable food.
Sadly, ViRCs is run and staffed by white-privileged people eking out a grant-funded status as "settlement" workers.
As I am in fact an informed immigrant, I would warn that ViRCS, itself, as an institution is a breeding ground for opportunities for white-privilieged people like English Language Teachers and Financial Advisors and "Immigration Consultants" to prey financially, spiritually, emotionally and personally on vulnerable and lonely people.
Personally, I would not approach the Vancouver Island Immigrant and Refugee Relief Centre with a ten-foot pole.
That said, it pleases me they provide low-cost parking in the downtown core of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada? so that the Cherry-Picked, wealthy emigres have the best chance of settlement success.
Nothing says lovin' like capitalist consumer food like good delicious food prepared without the privilege of pity on the behalf of settlers tryin' to make a livin' in the modern world of "Real Estate."
Beware the pressures white social stratification culture tryin' to hustle your immigrant culture of trust ftom you.

New comers will provided by English classes and some workshops for daily life .you can find various nationalities here for getting help every day. It has very nice staff .

My daughter and I are enjoying it quite so.
We are very honoured to be amongst such a great group.
The staff are well knowledgeable, friendly, well spoken.
The children are there to learn.
So are us parents.
I would definitely refer other separaring parents to the caught in the Middle program.
