I started lessons again as an adult after playing for a few years as a child, and am so happy with the progress I've made under his instruction. He structures his lessons very well, tailors them to each student's desired outcomes (i.e. improved understanding of theory, working towards a certification, or just learning for your own personal enrichment), and has a very positive and nurturing approach. I've appreciated how he takes my learning seriously but leaves a lot of room for fun and exploration. During COVID, he's perfected the art of video lessons, and sends very individualized feedback and practicing advice to me after each call. I'm so pleased I found this studio.

For this, I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher than Victor: kind, encouraging, always motivating you to do your best. You realize very quickly that Victor loves teaching and he has a gift for it. Whenever I feel stuck with a piece, he always has great advice on how to move forward. The teacher is organized, attentive and the studio is clean. Virtual lessons online are possible. Individual notes and homework are handed to us after every session to help us practice. I enjoy the personalized curriculum and structure of the lessons, exercices and teaching methods. This past december, we had a zoom recital with other students from our level which was both educational and fun. I would recommend this studio for kids and adults who would like to learn piano.

Thanks to Victor, they've learnt to play multiple songs and improved piano technics which they hadn't learnt previously. Victor encouraged them to be a better pianist and our eldest qualifies the lessons as "awesome". Despite the pandemic, Victor has fully adapted to a quality virtual teaching environment (which is essential for the time being). It's been a very positive experience.

Here is what he said: "I think Victor is a really good teacher because he is really likeable and he's really nice. As somebody who has not really enjoyed piano in the past he has made a BIG difference. He's really adjustable and reliable. Overall I would rate Victor five stars." Translated to adult speak, Victor is great at connecting with the kids and keeping the lessons engaging and fun - even in a virtual world. He takes into account the children's needs and wants when planning out lessons/picking their next piece of music, and he holds them accountable through lots of positive reinforcement. Victor is extremely passionate about teaching and able to evolve his approach if a certain method is not working. I highly recommend him.

Since that time, I have been taking lessons on a weekly basis and have made a lot of progress. As an adult beginner, I was looking for a teacher who could work with my skill level and would be understanding that I had fairly limited time to dedicate to practicing throughout the week. Victor was amazing at identifying my level and finding interesting and enjoyable pieces. He is very patient and great at communicating theory and technique. He keeps the lessons fun.
