Had a group outing ,but only apple variety remaining was Cortland and Spartan..it was a rainy day so the field trip was cancelled, but had a tasting of apple pie and coffee..plus some apple picking... it's quite far from montreal...about 2 hours by bus..very scenic area..we met the Co owner who has worked there all his life ,was kind to explain and show his operation..a visit us a must...

Workers were kind and polite, though they did try to overcharge me (no biggie-only $1). Apples were very high quality (large, juicy, sweet, few defects), though the prices are a little steep ($18 for 10 lbs of honeycrisp). They managed to keep their orchard in pretty good shape despite the drought we had this year, and the apples turned out to be delicious. I'll likely be making a yearly visit! --- Update: This is the third year I've gone. My last review (which I had at 5 stars) was for product located to the north of the orchard; in 2013 and 2014 we were directed to the 2 pitiful rows of honeycrisp on the south side that are right next to the highway. In 2013 the crop was poor and the lady gave us an extra large bag, then with a face as though she were trying to hide, charged us McIntosh price (about half) for the product. A couple of days after I understood why: they weren't juicy, didn't taste like much, and most of them had weird little dots on them. In 2014, the crop looked better and so did their equipments, but there was SO MUCH INSECTICIDE on the apples meaning I was reluctant to even bite into one to see if it was any good. The white film was visible and stinky. Apple trees in the far end had some kind of mildew on them and I really don't know why the orchard doesn't burn these ones to save the rest of the orchard from getting the fungus like I've read you're supposed to do, but that isn't my problem. If I remember, I will come back in a week or so to give my opinion on this year's apples, but so far so good except for the insecticide.

This is by far the best place I had the most natural tasting apple pie I had ever eaten. It's so good! I also bought the apple cider wine, and other apple related products that just made my taste glands tingle in pleasure. Enough said. Take the tractor train around the farm and enjoy the ride. Watch how they make the pies, and have a great time.
