★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed! I purchased tickets to Between the Pages: An Evening with the Scotiabank Giller Prize Finalists for myself and 2 friends. At the last minute they announced 2 of the 5 authors would not be attending. Since the event was no longer as advertised and of no interest to us I requested a refund. They refused. Nor did they offer to substitute anything else. I think this is poor community relations. I have attended events at the Writers Fest previously but will re-consider in the future because of their bait-and-switch tactics.
