★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I not to long ago graduated from valley view but I still visit checkup on my friends in fifth grade and my friends in the office they are amazing people and I hope they get award for it but the one down side is that if you are three or higher you be at after grade 2 and under in the same room overall 5 but the lunch thing bring it down to a 4

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointing. The "science program" did not live up to the descriptions given. No homework, no real framework for parents to understand exactly how the science based program works.
It's the end of the year and we picked up our son's work books and to my great surprise, I don't see any notes, corrections, anything.. sorry, 2 pages had come corrections and notes from the teacher. I spoke with the parents of another student I know in the same program and they reported similar results. So the teachers don't look at what the kids are doing anymore??
I know COVID caused a lot of problems but I'm sorely disappointed to see that there was no curriculum planning by the teachers for the last 3 months. The work assigned to my son and the other students did not seem like grade 4 work, they were given handouts that seemed to me as though it was grade 2 work. Some Google Meets planned for the students to interact with their peers were just forgotten by my son's teacher..
So just what is the teacher doing, it's almost like she has been doing the absolute minimum, when there should have been a plan in place, and frankly should almost be doing even more than usual to keep these students engaged in their learning.
Honestly, what I touched on above plus the doubling of the busing rates helped me make up my mind, and we are transferring our son out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son loves his school. Teachers are awesome. The school environment is great for the overall development of the children. Teachers are supportive, caring, and helpful . It would be great if children would get homework.
