★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you value a unique, owner operated experience off the beaten track then this place should really be higher than a 2-star. We've been in 4-star places we didn't like as much as Anglemont Inn. We decided to get off the highway on our drive between Calgary and Vancouver Island and discovered this wonderful small inn with fantastic views over the Shuswap Arm of the lake. Its a gracious log lodge full of original artwork and hand-crafter furniture made by the owners. Marty and Maureen are gracious hosts and provide that personal touch. Rooms are small but comfy and spotless. Huge public areas within the lodge provide lots of toys, books and games and space to relax. We'll be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Anglemont Inn was a unique and wonderful experience. Views of sunsets on Sushwap Lake are dazzling. The Innkeeper was great to talk to, well informed on nature and local happenings. Stay there if you get the chance!

The owners, Mr. and Mrs. MacMillian, make the experience a perfect blend of friendly, i-am-staying-with-family atmosphere with discreet hotelier respect, making for an ideal business or pleasure getaway. Attention to detail is key in the facility, with plenty to do, read, listen to, watch and see... If you can tear yourself away from the spectacular porch vistas and the lovely grounds.
While the rooms are smaller, they are apportioned with striking wood furniture and are impeccably kept. Hats off to the house service!
Breakfast is ample in the common dining room, and the upstairs has cozy seating areas (also impeccably clean). The entire affair is a true slice of Scottish-infused Canadiana!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in after a long smoky hot motorcycle ride. I was grumpy. So was the owner. Her husband was friendly and helpful. Dated small but clean rooms. No air conditioning in room. Would stay again were I ever in Anglemont again.
