★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This entrance to the Upper Don Recreation Trail takes you to the part of the trail that continues southward towards Sheppard Avenue East, though you may turn around and go towards north following part of the trail that passes underneath Finch Avenue East. Though continuation of the same trail, the south side trail has a different feel in terms of scenery and general atmosphere. Along the way, there are two small parks, namely Alamosa Park and Villaways Park. Between the two parks, Newtonbrook Creek joins the Don River. A trail goes northwest along the Newtonbrook Creek and reaches Finch Avenue East near Bayview Avenue. Along the Don River towards south, Upper Don Recreation Trail reaches a parking lot which is car accessible from Sheppard Avenue East.
