About University Heights Dental Studio
Dr. Divya Balakrishnan
Dr. Divya Balakrishnan was raised in the rural town of Nipawin, Saskatchewan. It was there that her love of school, sports and a strong sense of community flourished. Upon completing high school, she moved to Saskatoon to further her studies at the University of Saskatchewan. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Physiology in the College of Arts and Science. She then gained admittance to the College of Dentistry at the U of S and convocated in 2013.
Dr. Bala practices general dentistry, with a particular enthusiasm for cosmetic and family dentistry. She is an avid learner and enjoys attending continuing education courses regularly to keep up with the ever-evolving field of dentistry.
When she's not working, Dr. Bala is known to be a social butterfly who loves to be surrounded by family and friends. She plays volleyball year-round and is a fair-weather golfer. She shares her home with her husband, Kent, and her two kitties, Luna and Raja.

Great, friendly service, and even got basic dental hygiene advice specifically on "how" to brush for the best results for my teeth and gums, etc, that my previous dental offices had never explained. Very appreciated!

As a patient, I get good care, responsive staff, and knowledgeable dental professionals - No frills & great service!! I recommend this place based on my 2 years of experience as a patient. It is hard to find a better place than this in the Evergreen area - all things considered.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very impressed with the service and care I received at University Heights Dental Studio. I was in need of urgent care and was able to get in the same morning that I called. The covid policies in place were exceptional and I felt very safe. I appreciated that the initial paperwork was done on a reuseable dry erase sheet. After my first visit I was surprised to receive multiple phone calls checking in on my progress before my next visit, from the Dentist and her staff. During my visits the materials and technologies used were top of the line making my experience as a patient easy and as close to stress free as you can be at the dentist! I would highly recommend their services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend this dental studio! I just had my first dental appointment since the start of the pandemic and was anxious about the resulting catch up work. Everyone from the reception team to the hygienist (Tara I believe?) and Dr. Balakrishnan were incredibly accommodating and friendly while being thorough. It was a comfortable experience-- not nearly as much sensitivity or pain as expected for years between checkups. Also appreciate the flexible appointment times and the reminders as well as the adherence to safety protocols. Will be making this my regular office going forward!
