United Way is focusing on three of the priority community issues and their respective outcomes as identified in the SSM Poverty Reduction Strategic Action Plan: Food Security, Workforce Entry and Essential Services; without these pillars a person will struggle in poverty to build a life for themselves and their family.
About United Way Of Sault Ste Marie
In 2016, we set up our Essential Services Outreach Worker Program to address the unmet immediate needs of local families and individuals. The Outreach Worker provides assistance for referrals, connects people in need with the services to help them along with assisting them with the completion of forms. Such as; Disability Tax Credit, Survivors Benefit, and so many more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff here were excellent and very helpful. They do your income taxes for you for free. They also helped us with looking up available apartments for renting. Printed us off a copy of them all with all the information for each. The lady working the front desk knew a lot about local services that are available for lower income level residents. I would suggest their services to anyone that needs a little help during any stressful down times. Their location is a little hidden where their at on Queen Street.
