The pastor (a young man who had been there a year) and congregation were very welcoming and forward-thinking which surprised me as many in the group were seemingly mid-sixties and up. I loved being able to jump right in and help serve at their free-meal soup kitchen. There were many up-coming events during Revelstoke's Welcome Week (end of November and into December) that looked fun but I only had a week so had to leave before that. I met many in this small town church and saw them at the aquatic center, museum, restaurants, and yoga studios, and it was sweet to have "friends" wherever I went. There was a little free library out front of the church which I used. I did very much enjoy experincing life in this community church. Beautiful place! Worth the visit.
