β β β β β It is an OK place if resident is more or less able to get around on his own and feed himself. If he needs to rely heavily on caregivers, he will have a tough time. The place started to segregate residents into sections by ethnicity in 2018. That put some residents on edge, perhaps feeling outnumbered. There was a male resident who repeatedly said out loud " I don't like Chinese people". I heard another complaining to her daughter she wants her table changed because she wanted to sit with white residents. The atmosphere was stifling. This was before covid.
They may have done this with good intentions but were terribly misguided.

β β β β β Excellent caregivers here. My Mom's been here for 12 yrs.now and her same caregivers have been looking after her for 10 of those years. Even the ones who knew her from the beginning still come and see her and us and remember us all by name.
We're always kept up to date on any changes to her health.
The food quality is excellent and appetizing. Overall excellent facility-highly recommend it.

β β β β β Wonderful, caring and dedicated staff. Clean and bright place. Follows infection prevention and control protocols for the health and safety of residents, staff and visitors. COVID-19 Pandemic is very well managed.

β β β β β One of the most notable aspects of this community is the combination of professionalism and personal warmth exhibited by staff here.
You might see an example of that the moment you walk in the door, where you are likely to find staff working closely with seniors and guests or simply engaged in friendly conversation.Β During my placement, I have seen how dedicated and passionate the people who are working in this facility.
Residents and staff are the highest priority. In times of difficulty, they have the readiness to offer help. Thanks to Ms. Abby (CEO) and Ms. Claire (HR Manager) for giving me the chance to be part of the workforce, and for motivating me to pursue my dream career. And to the rest of the staff, thank you for all the values, knowledge and skills that were inculcated in my mind and heart.
Truly the hallmark of life at UVHS are the contentment and happiness of the people working and living here.
