Tynehead is quite the eclectic spot. While it is mostly a full-time year round leisure RV park(permanent camping) it does have about 20 camping spots. Some with picnic tables. It does get some white noise from the #1 hwy running below and parallel but nights are not bad. Very nice washroom building! Pool and mini-golf are unmaintained and in disrepair so nothing here for kids. For 1 or 2 nights to access the city or local activities, Tynehead is worth a stop.

Booked weeks ahead and was told I paid 10% deposit. My assistant did this so I was going based off what I was told. I was also charged 20$ more per night than I was supposed to be as it was off season. Apparently the owner is known for making up random over charged prices. The day we were supposed to check in, a Wednesday, not like it was a Sunday or anything, we called multiple times to let them know we’d be there late with no response ever. When we got there, there was a bell that said ring for service, on more than one occasion (multiple nights) the bell would be rang and I’d wait for 10 mins with no response so I’d leave. Oh and you couldn’t get a phone call either. And to top it off, I’m new to rving and we thought cable meant all we did was plug our tv in and cable is available, so when we asked, he said oh no you just need the cable to plug in. Charged us for a used one and then gave us one with the wrong ends on it so it couldn’t even be used. Only to be told we actually require our own cable Subscription and we won’t be getting our money back for the cord. Our site was also so flooded that we couldn’t even get out of our door without ruining our shoes. Showers require tokens and you can never buy them as they’re never at the store to talk to. Oh and the wifi that’s advertised is non existent. We left a night early and didn’t even talk to them for our money back. Worst place to stay.

This campground "does the job", but that’s it. It’s "good enough" if you want to visit Vancouver and stay for cheap, but it doesn’t really have any qualities besides being close to Vancouver. Among its weak points are: 1. Overflowing and smelly trash next to our campsite (which was cleaned up for the weekend, but still) 2. Pool is closed and frankly disgusting 3. Gym is disorganized 4. Water source does not seem potable 5. Showers require tokens which must be purchased at the home office. Unfortunately, the home office isn’t open often during weekends so it’s very difficult to actually buy tokens unless you stay at the campground all day. Conclusion: you won’t be able to shower. 6. The store in the home office isn’t really a store but rather a messy storage space for a bunch of stuff 7. The tenting region of the campground is surrounded by many abandoned RVs It’s probably clear by now, but for the record: This campground is not recommended.

I live here and I have no problems. Danny and his dad a very friendly. Rent is reasonable. better than renting a basement suit or apartment which it’s so expensive.

Daniel treated us very well, went out of his way to accommodate our travel trailer. My wife and I felt we were in an ideal location close to shopping, Tynehead Park and the freeways.

I have been here now for 7 months...it is an awesome central location for me. I like my neighbors. They are watchful and I feel safe. The owner is excellent ? I occasionally have questions for him as this my first season living in my RV. Daniel is available to answer and help me out best for what I need. He is kind to me, I bet I annoy him with some questions. Thank you!!! I am 100% pleased to be a part of this community.

Needed a place to set up my camping equipment for a day while visiting in the mainland, came across this place. The reviews seem to be pretty accurate of this place. It's a good last minute place to set up. The showers lasted pretty long which was nice, however, there's rarely anybody in the office to contact if you are out of tokens, or need any other services. The facilities were also decently clean. When it came to the sites, they weren't too good. The road was pretty loud, and the ground was pretty lumpy. It also gives you an odd feeling at your set up. Might just have been how a calagarian felt being in surrey lol. But it left creepy vibes. It gets 3 stars for me.
