When my mother in law passed, we explained that she had no money and we would have to wait until her house was sold to pay off the balance of her cremation. We had first paid $3000 then needed to wait for the house to sell. We got reminder phone calls constantly so sent a cheque for $800. In May we get a call from a collection agency stating that the final bill had been sent to them. When we contacted Tubman's they stated that they didn't receive the cheque. The collection agency knew we were waiting on the sale of the house so told us to pay xxxx amount and it would be taken care of. so we paid that amount only to have Tubman's miraculously have the $800 cheque and put it through in April. So they got the deal that the collection company made with us, plus an extra $800. FYI we are still waiting on the sale of the house. I have never met anyone so cold when it comes to this. Rude and not compassionate.
