★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst company I ever worked at in my entire life. Racist, dirty and poor safety management. Head office should investigate thoroughly or else Trican will loose it's reputation and customers pretty soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have never seen employees in company vehicles drive like such idiots. How long has it been a law in Alberta to not talk on cellphones while driving?.....
Apparently Canyon doesn't discuss it at safety meetings. Just had an employee talking on cellphone pull out into intersection on yellow light they stop in middle of intersection as light changes. He did not have the smarts to either proceed or reverse cause he WAS ON THE PHONE! I could not get vehicle number so I hope the right person reads this.

" I'm gonna talk, your gonna listen" This is what one high up manager said to me as I approached him with a concern.
I was really disappointed to hear Burns respond to me in a way that told me it was time to look elsewhere for work.
That kind of management attitude was not uncommon.
I worked hard hauling sand for Canyon, In all kinds of weather, thinking that it would be in my best interest to lay out a future for my family and myself.
The money wasn't there, they pay you a monthly salary and an hourly wage...sounds great? No, the employees were constantly trying to figure out if they were paid for the work done, then fight with management to get paid.
I drove a 27 hr shift one day, that was grueling and I still didn't know if I was paid properly for it, yes your limited to 16 in the oilfield...good luck with that.
I wouldn't go back to Canyon for double the money.
I could go on about Canyon but its all negative. You get my point I'm sure.
