β β β β β Ask upfront what service fees will be, as the agent I dealt with did not disclose anything. Instead, I found her exorbitant "agency fee" in fine print at the bottom of my booking confirmation - after she booked my tickets and charged my visa. I asked for a rationale for the fee: is it a flat or hourly rate? is it a percentage of the ticket price? I was ignored. I pushed back and simply wanted an admission that that wasn't the best way to deal with people's money and trust, and was told "that's just how we do it." That's the OPPOSITE of quality customer service.
