About Trapper's Point Camp

We bring a wealth of experience having fished Sturgeon and the neighboring lakes for over 10 years and we have been fishing in the surrounding area for over 25 years at several lake resorts. During that time, we have fished numerous other lakes in Ontario and are confident that this area provides the best Walleye, Lake Trout, and Northern Pike fishing available in Northwest Ontario.

Our experience staying with other fishing camps, lodges, and resorts has given us insight into what makes a successful fishing trip and how and how not to treat our guests. Also, Bob is available to guide our guests for a charge but he is more than happy to provide you with a map and show you exactly where and what technique or lures to use to catch huge numbers of fish as a courtesy to our guests. If you’re wondering what the weather forecast looks like or what lures and or colors the fish are biting on just give us a call 1-2 weeks before you come and we’ll let you know.

Was our first time at the lake and they gave us excellant guidance of where and how to fish the lake. We had our own boat but the rental equipment all appeared in very good condition. You can catch all the walleye and some nice pike as well very close to camp. In fact every evening about dusk we could catch nice walleye with just a bobber, hook, and minnow sitting in the back of our boat at the dock. A little further out in the lake there is deep water where others more familar with the lake where catching lake trout. Also heard of a white fish caught the week we were there.

Trapper's Point is home base for a great fishing experience and highly recommend a stay at Trapper's Point for walleyes, lake trout, and northern pike, etc., as well as the comfortable cabins and well-kept fishing camp with whatever is needed for a great fishing experience for not just "the guys," but the whole family. Can hardly wait to return again this summer!

I only saw a small fraction of it in a week of terrific fishing. Bob, is the hardest working resort owner I have come across. He has a special connection with this area. His aim is for you and your party to have an experience of a lifetime, and he has the place to accomplish it. 5 stars.

F	Fred Peaks Outdoors on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family and I switched to Trapper's Point Camp after bad experiences at other resorts and we couldn't have been more pleased because from the moment we arrived at the Resort we were welcomed by Robert Snider and his family and set up with all the accomodations you could think of including gps coordinates on were the fish are biting and that continued on throughout the week with Rob checking in on us every day and so, I'm our opnion we will continue coming back to Trapper's Point for years to come
