Unfortunately, the Town has to take steps to ensure individual property taxes are kept in check & owners given the opportunity to amend their tax roll prior to the current year tax levy being rolled out, which will be June 1st of this year.
On April 1st, anyone with outstanding amounts received a statement from us outlining the total amount due. You'll have to call the office for the actual levy amount if you don't have the 2021 Tax Notice at hand. Essentially, 1/2 of the levy amount plus arrears (interest charges, etc.) must be paid by May 15th in order for your property not to be included in the tax enforement process. A call to the Town CAO, would not go amiss at this point & encourage those to do so if full payment isn't possible.
