Toronto Zoo

I could not believer the amount of exhibits here! I’m use to being able to be in and out of a zoo in a matter of 2-3 hours. I was at the Toronto zoo for a little over three hours and still had exhibits I did not get to see. Every exhibit was really cool to see. The red pandas were one of my favorites and they are adorable.

Wow... Amazing place to bring your kids. Do not forget to bring some meal and drink especially when summer. I also suggest to bring stroller or wagon for your kids, otherwise you might need to rent from them. The location so big and great for exercise. The staff are great. Very crowded on the food court especially on lunch time. For US visitor, they also accept your dollar, no need to worry. Overall it is good place to bring your family to see the zoo.

The animals here are in great view to you and perfect for photos! Some animals are even aware you want a photo and pose for you. I highly recommend the orangutan exhibit since she performs tricks when people are around. Would love to come back here again.

Good as far as zoos go. They seem to care about the animals,that being said i find some of the enclosures to be way to small for some of the animals.

It was really so awesome and so amazing to see the beautiful creatures inside.

Calm and nice place you will see all aminals.It will take almost 5-6 hours to cover every section also there will be some differnt type of show conducted every one hour.

Fantastic zoo! Toronto Zoo has a reputation of being a high quality zoo in terms of animal treatment. The animals all look healthy compared to animals you can encounter in some zoos. It's well worth a visit!

The Toronto Zoo remains one of the best tourist attractions in Toronto. In comparison to other zoos in the world (Australia, Japan, South Korea), the Toronto zoo fairs very well. Among many other things, it includes a very large and diverse collection of animals from all over the globe. It is clean and possesses an extensive and coherent system of walking trails that takes you throughout the park. There is also a wealth of fun and interesting information about each animal, their habitats, etc. The Toronto zoo also entertain several special events throughout they year (eg Red Panda International Day). The Toronto Zoo is good for all ages: family, young of old couples, solo travellers will feel as if they’ve had a Day well spent after finishing their visit at the Toronto zoo. There are certainly many different ways you can approach a visit at the zoo. You can easily focus on one or a few sections only, carefully combing through all the detailed information provided on each animal, and leaving other sections to a future visit. You can also time your visit with any of the zoo’s many themes and events throughout the year. Alternatively, you can also visit the entire zoo without stopping to read the information provided on each panel. If you plan on visiting the entire zoo, without reading all the information provided on info panels, you should: (1) Schedule your visit wisely. Weekends from June to August will likely be very busy. If you can, avoid long summer weekends. If possible, visit the zoo on a weekday, especially during the shoulder season of tourism (end of August or beginning of September). You’ll have better one-on-one time with each animal at the zoo, and may even feel like you have the whole zoo to yourself! (2) Wear comfortable walking shoes and consider bringing along sunscreen or a raincoat depending on the weather forecast. Note that there is a bus that travels on a network of roads at the zoo dedicated to that purpose; (3) bring light snacks and drinks if you want to avoid paying the higher price of food and drinks at the zoo, e.g. a 500 ml bottle of coke sells for $4.00 CAD. There are fast-food joints inside the zoo like Pizza Pizza, Poutinerie, etc. (4) set aside an entire day with regimented breaks and time to take photos throughout the day. An adult walking at a normal pace on a non-busy day (e.g. a Wednesday in September) with occasional breaks, time taking photos, and reading some but not all info provided on the panels at the Zoo will easily consumer 5 hours of your day. (5) Visit animals and sections your are most interested in first. If you leave them for last, you may lack the motivation and energy to see your personal favourites given the time it takes to visit every section of the zoo. (6) If you do have a few favourite animals, zoo staff offer talks on various animals throughout the day. The information they offer is not usually available elsewhere, and is quite informative and insightful. You may want to plan your itinerary through the zoo based on these scheduled talks.
