I was there for 3 months because of a Spinal cord stroke. I came here with basically no mobility, and left with a KAFO brace on one leg and walker. I came so broken not just physically, but mentaly. Lyndhurst has psychologists, social workers, recreational therapists to heal you. Best nurses ready to help  24/7. Family physician and physiatrist  came to me every day,  answered all my questions and guided me to get healthy .  It became my home. Best physio and occupational therapy I have HAD. They work you hard. Gym people are the best. Place itself very updated and clean. Anyone needing recovery from their inability to do their normal physical tasks should go to Lyndhurst center. Thank you all so much for helping me.

My mother has been at this center for a week and has been berated by night nurses, left in filth after calling for hours and disregarded and when I went to ask them to change her sheets that hadn't been done since she got there I recieved a dismissed response with a clear picture of the pathetic conditions and lack of care showcased by the staff.

If i could rate this in the negatives I would. This was the worst 5 months of my mother’s life. From the day she got there Dr. Burns decided she would never walk again. The doctors, nurses, PT, OT and social workers ALL completely ignored both my mother and the family. The incompetence is unbelievable. She got several infections there and they let her get so sick she needed more surgery to clean out the infection. She was sent back to acute care twice. My mother begged for more physio as her surgeon told us she would walk. Lyndhurst refused. Wouldn’t even let her try to stand. She is day 1 in another facility and standing. The treatment is night and day. It is like she is now in a civilized country. All they wanted to do there was convince her she would never walk and force her into a LTC facility. I got threatening emails from the manager Iona trying to force us to move her to a facility where she would whither away. I am so grateful I advocated and fought to get her into an RCC where she is thriving! Avoid this place unless you want your loved one to be discouraged and left to get sicker not better. I have attached a picture of an infection nobody at Lyndhurst could explain. How can you miss this? Hard to believe this place is supposed to be the best. Stay away!

Amazing experience! Everyone is happy and smiling all the time. Dr Oshidari was a delight to deal with. The place is clean and welcoming. Very clean exam rooms and offices. Hoping everyone has this experience as I did. Also hoping no one would have to visit it, it only means bad things :(

I am a current in-patient at rehab centre. This place has best staff in the world. All people really work hard to achieve their goals. I recommend this place for spinal cord injury patients. It has Two big physiotherapy rooms and one big Gym. There are plenty of games to play in your free time like Wii, Bocce, sports stimulator and table tennis. They also have a pool for therapy. Location of rehab center is at perfect spot surrounded by beautiful parks and jogging route.

I went there for outpatient clinic this Thursday and while waiting for my appointment I got hungry so I want to get up bag of chips and a pop. A lady from Kite clinics Said that the vending machine is for inpatients only. I expressed how disappointed I am with this way of running a rehab. However she said this is the way it is and she offered zero help on how I can get something out of a vending machine. Lucky for me I knew one of the staffs personnel there and I was able to get what I wanted out of a vending machine. What if someone is really thirsty I’ll just for a water but they want Pepsi or any other type of juice or something to snack on what are they going to do then they have to suffer while the vending machine is just 10 feet away that is separated by some cones. I understand this is Covid time but the staff at Lyndhurst should be more friendly towards people that are coming from the outside and offer help for people like me . I hope someone read this from management side of Lyndhurst and comes up with a solution.

They have added staff at the entrance who’s job seems to be to keep guests from visiting patients. The keep loosing ‘the list’ of guests and are incredibly unorganized. If you express any kind of human emotion about the frustration you’re feeling and the incredible anxiety this is causing the patient that is ‘disrespect’. I understand good employees in the health field are hard to come by since the pandemic, but Lyndhurst Rehab centre, don’t forget why you exist and don’t forget about putting your patients first. Train your staff to help others, not to uphold and put adminstriva before people. You can do better.
