Mr. Davidson's principal occupation is a Corporate Director. Mr. Davidson co-founded FirstEnergy Capital Corp. in 1993 which became the world’s premier choice for energy sector investment banking. Subsequently, Mr. Davidson was the Deputy Chairman of GMP First Energy, Canada’s leading energy-focused investment bank from which he retired from his role in 2018. Mr. Davidson is a director of ATB Financial, the Business Council of Alberta, the Creative Destruction Lab, the Economic Futures Council of Junior Achievement, the Fraser Institute and the Modern Miracle Network. Mr. Davidson was most recently Deputy Chairman of GMP FirstEnergy. Mr. Davidson holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and has earned the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designation. Mr. Davidson has more than 41 years of experience providing investment banking and financial services to a broad spectrum of companies in a variety of industries, most notably in the energy sector. In 2016 Mr. Davidson was inducted into the IIAC Investment Industry Hall of Fame and awarded a "Lifetime Achievement Award" by the Oil & Gas Council.
