Highly recommend Dr Tocchio. Had a genioplasty with him with amazing results. There is a risk of nerve damage with this procedure and I was really scared of that, but thank God none whatsoever. He is really experienced and good. This is more of a cosmetic surgery, so I must say he also has a good eye for aestetically pleasing results. Just wanted to share because I am really glad I got the results I got and I feel it is thanks to him.

Dr T took out four teeth in total - three premolars and one impacted canine tooth which was hidden high up in my palette. The surgery was short and his stitches were so well done that there actually wasn't any pain at all post-op. The only irritating part was not being able to eat anything close to solid foods while taking heavy doses of meds (t3 and pennicillin) which therefore made me sleep for 15+ hours a couple days after. Needless to say this doctor is amazing. He is also the head surgeon at North York General for the Oral/Maxillo-Facial surgical department so go figure! Very happy with the overall service.

Okay, First of all, I just want to say this Doctor might be the best surgeon in all of Canada. The reviews that I read here do not do him justice. He is a very calm and relaxing guy. Being a doctor, his job must be stressful. Today I got 4 wisdom teeth pulled. I was so paranoid going in, so scared from the night before (all my googling). I came into the office, and told the staff that I'm very scared. The lady at the front desk did a good job to calm me down for it. Then I waited for 20mins at the reception for them to call me. Going in, I was shaking, panicky, and just thinking bad things the whole time. I had laughing gas over my nose for about 5 minutes till it really kicked in and calmed me down 100%. After that, they sedated me (not general anesthesia). Then the Doctor asked me "Do you want to go on a trip?". I told him "I want to go to spain", he smirked because I clearly didn't get the joke. About 30 seconds after they gave me the needle (which only felt like a pinch) for the medications (sedation). After that I passed out, I don't remember a thing from the procedure. At first I was scared that I would hear noises from drilling, scraping, tugging etc. That was all a bluff, thanks to Google (Note to self, never Google medical concerns). I didn't feel any of that. I woke up about 30-45 minutes later, seriously, I thought this procedure would take longer than an hour. It goes to show how much of a professional this Doctor is. I walked out of the office feeling a little bit dizzy (most likely thanks to the sedation), but my wonderful girlfriend helped me get home safely. It is now 6 hours since I got home, and I was actually concerned that there would be after-pain from the surgery. However, I barely felt any discomfort now, there was one point, but the medications they prescribed me (liquid form) really helped the pain go away. I am hoping that in the next couple of days the pain and minor swelling of my gums/cheeks will go away. I loved the expertise of this Surgeon, and I would 100% recommend him to anyone who is getting their wisdom teeth out. He has experience in procedures far more difficult than wisdom teeth extraction, so don't worry. You're in good hands!

If I could give this office a negative star review I would. Unprofessional and zero patient tolerance is how I would describe Dr. Tocchio. Let me explain our nightmare experience. Firstly I had to talk my 12 year old daughter down and give her the confidence in the appointment which was to pull a baby molar. The day of he appointment the office was running 45 mins late and my daughter watched while other patients were leaving the office half asleep and "supported" by their parents with mouths full of gauze. When it was our turn she began to cry and experience anxiety watching the others before her made her scared. The nurses tried to help but when the doctor came he said - forget it either she calms down or she doesn't come back I've been down this rodeo before. Wow I thought but non the less I tried to calm my daughter down and see if we could get her to start the procedure. In the end the doctors negative attitude did not help the situation and my daughter would not calm down, so I decided to leave thinking we would make an appointment elsewhere when she is ready. While walking out Dr.Tocchio said in a loud an disgusting tone " if that was my daughter I would slap her in the head a few times." I did not cause a scene I just left. It's unbelievable that someone can be such a jerk. If you have children or young adults don't go to this doctor. He wants quick in and out sedated procedures. He does not want any patient who disrupts his assembly line. She is a 12 year old girl who has never had a procedure like this before have some compassion. Even the horrid old receptionist behind the glass is rude. Lots of other caring surgeons out there go elsewhere.

Find another surgeon. Got double jaw surgery years ago to fix an underbite - he ended up adding extra cosmetic procedures that I did not want. "Fixed" a "gummy smile" that I DIDN'T HAVE and now my top teeth are completely covered by my lip. He did a sliding genioplasty that I told him I DID NOT WANT and now I've got a witch's chin. Sure, the underbite is fixed, but there is so much more about my face I want to fix now. All this and permanent nerve damage - numbness/tingling on a quarter part of my face that will never go away.

My son was referred to Dr Tocchio by his orthodontist for wisdom tooth extraction, gingivectomy and an open exposure with bracket placement. My son recovered well and we are very happy with the professional work done. Dr Tocchio, the nurse and everyone working in his clinic was so friendly. Dr Tocchio and the nurse explained everything we needed to know clearly before and after the procedure. My son was in good hands.

A few years ago I had lower jaw surgery to fix my underbite/open bite. I was always scared of potential relapse, and complications with surgery but Dr. Tocchio changed my life. And all for the better. Everything went well, he would check up on me after surgery, and was always more than willing to answer all my questions and concerns. All in all would recommend him to anyone, a life changer very happy I was given the opportunity to have him as my surgeon, I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I was very nervous about having all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out but Dr. Tocchio and his staff were amazing! I was panicking a bit when I first went in before the procedure but they all made me feel comfortable and everything went smoothly. Im glad I was referred to him :) Never had any issues with booking appointments at all. I was worried about something two days after the surgery and they told me to come in with no hassle, really recommend !
