I went there to buy some toys for my nephew, and the people who work there so kindly and patiently showed me the toys that my nephew would like. My little nephew loved loved loved the gifts. I will definitely go there again and would recommend this place to everyone I know.

Leave yourself extra time to choose because your sure to leave with a big smile and a few items for yourself as well as the one your shopping for! The staff are cheerful and knowledgeable and ready to help at the first whim of pleasure overwhelm lol. Enjoy!

Before my kids were born the founder pointed out in a CBC interview that a licenced toy comes with a backstory. A doll with a white jacket and minimal face can be a doctor, mad scientist, bus driver, John Wicks, whatever the child imagines as their own story. And the maker doesn't pay a licensing fee, which comes out of the quality of the toy. 40 years on I haven't found a counter example to his argument. A word of warning, you go in to find toys for kids, but there are many things that will catch your fancy. You pretend that they're for the kids when they're older, but you know you're going to play with them yourself. This gets expensive. But it's fun!

From of course toys, to games, puzzles, costumes, magic tricks, and model trains. Science projects and crystal growing to robots and engineering kits. I am amazed every single time I walk through this store. Amongst all of this, a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Good luck finding parking!
