L	Lord Beamin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: On campus the view Cons: Fire alarm went off on a daily/weekly basis terrible heating in the winter (10C) elevators that worked half the time paper thin walls poorly maintained bathrooms (showers were half funcitonal) terrible washer/dryer machines that did not wash or dry (at your expense!)
J	Jonas Batrick on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Your heating may not work (pray that you're lucky and land yourself a room where it works), in the winter the temperatures in the rooms can hit a low of 10C and they won't (they said they can't even after dozen of complaints) do anything to help you fix it. There are even literal holes in the walls and windows as you feel the cold air blow into the room forming thick layers of ice on the windows (duct tape saved my life). The elevators are constantly broken, usually only 2 works and sometimes only 1 will work for a 20 floor building, and I've been trapped (for more than 30 minutes before help came) in the elevator as well. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours'... activities to put it nicely. People are constantly doing drugs everywhere and there is little action that the building regulators can do to prevent this. The common rooms are pillaged, the furniture (sofas, chairs, tables) will disappear never to be seen again. Fire alarms will be triggered regularly forcing everyone to leave the building, it was especially brutal in the winter when it once was triggered 4 times within 24 hrs (2 times at night past 10pm in freezing weather). The water is metallic and some floors' tap water is grey upon turning on the faucet. There is no proper garbage disposal system, the garbage usually overflows onto into the lobby of each floor and there is no option to properly sort it on most floors. 2/10, no one returns to this place for a reason.

Except it's not like the Diefenbunker, so I guess there's that (and if you're from Ontario and don't know what the Diefenbunker is, you should really brush up on your 10th grade history class). The bathroom's shower is small as hell, so don't get creative in there, cause there's no room for it. If you rock with the "I'm a politician that can afford an underground bunker" vibe, then Thompson is the place for you.

L	Laurie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms are really small. Frustrating and at times overwhelming smell in bathrooms. Tough to be on a higher floor (17) and have no elevator. It doesn't appear to be well or promptly maintained. Choose another place if you can at all.
