★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to The Wise to check out my buddy’s band. Cool spot for local events and show. Theres a full on hall upstairs and a cozy lounge downstairs tucked away in a residential area. Parking is very limited and hard to find so might want to take alternative mode of transportation. Overall it was a good night, and recommending checking it out, they don’t make places like this anymore!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice unpretentious space with a mezzanine. It looks like the acoustical cousin of Celebrities nightclub. The only thing I don't like is you can hear the music from the lounge. Other than that it's a nice space with character.

Gender neutral bathrooms as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this place. Such a funky vibe: wooden floors, pool table, intimate setting for country/blues/rock shows and dancing!
Great place to grab a pint and chill with some friends. Every time I come to Vancouver this place is on my list of hangouts to hit up. Staff is friendly, beer is reasonably priced.

Went to a wrestling event there, was pretty funny.
Ran out of a few of the key liquors early in the night, so switch to other cocktails.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small, cozy venue in Vancouver (East side). Just attended a concert there and enjoyed the experience. On opposite side of the building there is a lounge where you can pop in for a beverage before your event. Prices there, not crazy expensive. No food though, only chips from a coin operated machine. Bar is cash only, but there's an ATM in the lounge if needed. The concert hall is a no-frills set, with a very basic set of lights, but it works. This is a venue where you can be in close proximity to your artist. Staff there, quite friendly. Will come back! Please support live shows and venues like The Wise!
