WONDERING WHAT AND WHERE THE WHEELHOUSE IS?
You’ll find The Wheelhouse in the heart of Marda Loop, directly off the bike lane down 20th St SW and 33rd Ave SW. Our store offers an ideal retreat from the heavy crowds off 33rd Ave and for those who are looking for premium bikes and accessories -- or for anyone who wants to have a cappuccino and chat with the crew about bikes, performance or fitness.
The Wheelhouse is proud to collaborate with other local businesses to host product demos, workshops and seminars. And, of course, we lead weekly rides from our store for cyclists who are interested in developing their skills and meeting like-minded people to roll with!
The Wheelhouse is also an ideal place to start your cycling tour of Calgary or to head out to the Foothills, if a climb is what you’re after! If you’re looking for a new route, be sure to ask us or check out our Strava page for some of our favourite loops. We regularly organize trips from the store and offer a full event program throughout the year to keep your motivation high and help you reach your cycling goals.

Very friendly and knowedgeable owners and finally a roadbike focused shop with Italian brands, great selection of clothing and parts and the setup is a great atmosphere. A proper coffee/espresso bar tops it all off! I'll be back for all my roadie needs.

The follow up service is next to none and the guys in the shop will do their very best for you. Whether it's bikes, clothing, accessories, the latest tech, or even an Italian style coffee; you won't be found wanting. I'm a blow in to Calgary and just wish they had this setup back home.

We had a lengthy discussion about my current fitting issues and we set up a date for some adjustments on my current bike. The adjustments were done a couple days later and free of charge. Even if the adjustments worked well I decided to purchase a new bike from the shop. The culture and loyalty is amazing in there. Great bunch of people. If you’re into cycling and coffee I highly recommend you swinging in to meet Todd, Dany, Luis and the boys.

Thus, I was glad to drop by this Marda Loop store upon receiving good word from a friend. Finally, Calgary has a proper road cycling store. Products are high end and some beautiful frames are on display. Lovely environment and I had the best service altogether with an unreal insight into the cycling industry by an elegant, well spoken and highly knowledgeable gentleman. Not only he spoke a flawless Italian but he gave me a tour of their store brands as I rarely have witnessed. Supremely surprised to learn he wasn’t the owner nor Italian. When employees act with passion and possess true cycling culture one can’t but give praise. Will certainly shop here quite often.
