This is an amazing start to you’re fitness and nutritional journey. Feeling unsure or even lost with the wealth of information available? Not sure where to start? Look no further. This program saved my life! Taught me how to fuel my body and overcome my fears and ignorance about food. This program pushes me to be better. To be stronger. This is the first time in my life that I have actually looked forward to workouts! Mat Sawyer, at The Weight Lifting Lab, is an INCREDIBLE trainer. He personalizes his clients' workouts and programs them into an app. Mat is super knowledgeable. I have become way stronger and lost weight. Even my back pain has been alleviated. I feel so good after the high intensity workouts!

STOP SEARCHING! MAT SAWYER IS YOUR GUY! I’ve been training with Mat Sawyer at The Weightlifting LAB since it first opened. Training is not just Mat’s occupation, it’s obvious that this is his passion as well as his vocation. Mat is chronically upbeat and positive, and genuinely wants to see his clients succeed. I totally agree with other reviewers that training with Mat is just downright fun. I look forward to each session and have never once been disappointed. Yes, sweat and hard work is part of the equation, but I leave with a big smile every single time. Works for me! Personally, the physical gains I’ve made while under his eagle eye but easygoing, encouraging manner are quite remarkable, both in strength and range of motion. Because my overall body positioning has come a very long way under Mat’s supervision, from somewhat dysfunctional to now optimal, I no longer encounter frequent injury, and have overcome some chronic pain. This is such a huge win for improved overall daily quality of life. If you’re interested, Mat adds extra value to your session by offering insightful (but not preachy!) advice tailored to your needs about diet, nutrition, anatomy, or related lifestyle changes. He has broadened my horizons by recommending books, websites and video clips which have most definitely enriched my life. With the additional benefit of daily workouts posted in the TrainHeroic app in which I log and track my progress, I follow a program specifically designed by Mat on my own time when I’m not in a one-on-one session with him. So, if you’re looking for a knowledgeable, experienced trainer who will ensure your safety, take your fitness to the next level, improve your lifestyle and make training something to actually look forward to with anticipation rather than with dread, Mat’s your guy!

I have worked with Matt for 3 years now. He is his extremely knowedgeable, competent, and a ton of fun! He is an excellent teacher, mentor, and coach. He will develop a program that fits your lifestyle with a plan to achieve your goals while ensuring you make small changes that become life long habits. He gets more excited when you hit your personal milestones then you do! Matt genuinely cares about his clients and takes a lot of pride in helping people. Not only does he help teach the proper approach to fitness, he also will help you reflect on your nutrition and provide real life insights that will make a long term impact on your well being. If you want to make a change in your life, try something new to see how it feels, and/or ready to invest in your health for the long term... I promise you will not regret reaching out to Matt. He is a life changer.. On top of all of this - the Weighting Lifting Lab is totally awesome with state of the art equipment, clean, and great tunes! Give Matt a try. You will not regret it.

Mat at the Weightlifting Lab is the greatest coach ever! My training sessions with him are the highlight of my week. He is very engaging and knowledgeable, and just generally makes working out fun. I have seen great gains in my form and my strength. I usually have to be very mindful of my back in the various movements and with Mats corrections I am able to continue to make progress without feeling any back pain. I highly recommend reaching out to Mat!!
