L	Laura A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I camped here 10 years ago for the first time as a young couple and have come back many times in the last few years with our kids. We always camped in "The Willows" as tenters because of how private and nice the sites were. I like the campground because even though there is a quiet time, it's not so strict you feel like you can't have any fun. There is a playground and mini golf area, plus you are 20 minutes away from Drumheller so you have lots you can do. The owners are great and the prices seem on par to most.
K	Keith McMaster on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Out of the way jewel. Nice big parking spots. Fire rings in stalls. Firewood for sale. Mini golf course. Fishing pond with rainbow trout. The folks at the desk were very pleasant to deal with. Campgrounds were nice and quiet. No sewer in our stall, this didn't bother us as they do have a dump at the entrance.

Our group of four adults needed a tent campsite for the weekend in late July and, instead of placing us beside two young families with children, we received a more secluded spot with lush grass, raspberry bushes and trees. With a beautiful view of the sun setting behind fields and a crackling fire, it was exactly what we wanted. Washrooms were well maintained but showers were coin operated. Potable water was included, firewood was not. The only complaint I could make was that pricing was not upfront on their website. The posted rates include two adults and up to four children per site, we were told we would be charged an extra $5 per head for both nights. Any annoyance we had with the price, however, evaporated when we had a quiet, beautiful and clean campsite with no neighbours. All in all, I would highly recommend Handhills High Country Hideaway.

The camp sites are nicely treed in which allowed for a lot of privacy. You couldn't hear any other guests from your campsite. Very well priced for what you are getting. Would definitely recommend this place and will be returning!

B	Ben Daniel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was here for the second time for 4 days over the long weekend. It's a nice spot, only a 25 minute drive to Drumheller, at most. The handhills are beautiful, especially in the early morning when the fog rolls through. The tent camping spots are treed and feature a fire pit and picnic table. The washrooms are well maintained, but bring loonies for the shower. ($1 = 4 mins). Camp staff are friendly and approachable. There is a stocked pond for fishing if you like that. I'll be going back!
