★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very classy place with lots of history in the building. It makes you feel like you are a Kingsman or something. However, I simply cannot recommend the restaurant. While the presentation of the food receives top grade as does the service, the moment the food is placed into one's mouth, a sense of disappointment overwhelms all other senses. The fois gras was not done well, tasted like salted cold lard. Lamb chops were served cold with excess fats that were supposed to be trimmed off left on. The gateau Basque was equally unimpressive, for the prices they charge, there are so many other choices that will satisfy a discerning palate much more easily while costing less. The Burrowing Owl wine was decent. Will not return for food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are older but but clean and tidy. Reminiscent of Royal York hotel or similar older CN hotels. Great location down town walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the Harbour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Union Club, you won't be disappointed! It's like coming home while you're away. The food they serve in the dining room is always delicious! Sometimes you can snag an available room on booking.com - because it's a private club for members.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the best stay at the Union Club. I have been a member for many years.the food at the restaurant was outstanding. The wine was stellar. The room was a Harbour View Suite and delightful. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love places like this... they capture a historic moment of time with its architecture, woodworking, library, reading room, games room, art and restaurant. Elegant style and right proper service without the pretentious attitude. And the food was exquisite!
