★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great addition to downtown! They have plants year round, support other local artisans, and have seasonal plants that circulate. You can get your plant fix and dog fix all in one place, and everyone in the building is friendly. Overall, it's the plant place you need to support in town!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am obsessed with this amazing local store! The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable and helpful and she has the cutest plants and accessories! Plus who doesn't love a warm welcome from a fluffy butt Corgi!!!! I could spend all day in that store!

Her dog Phil (see below) is the fan favourite and makes it irresistible to not peek in and see what’s new when you’re just driving by. I love the handcrafted plant accessories from other small makers and all the love and community that flows from this place! Lethbridge is lucky to have this sweet shop!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in today to browse, and saw some sad looking pitcher plants (sarracenia). They were alive, but clearly were struggling for one reason or another. They were priced at $18, but I asked if they'd cut me a deal. To my surprise, they offered them for just $2 each! So, i immediately bought 2 and will be nursing them back to health. These plants are very hard to source in Canada, and can cost a lot to ship live online (if you can even find them) so this was a huge boon for me as a carnivorous plant enthusiast!
They have a number of practices here that I really respect; the Toonie cart, which is full of imperfect or sickly plants, let's you obtain really inexpensive plants that otherwise would have to be discarded. They also gave me a bunch of large plastic nursery pots completely free! Really makes it feel like a community-focused shop rather than a cash grab. Plus, they always have interesting plants and planters that you can't find in big corporate garden centers.
Oh, and there's a very cute dog ?

Many of our plants at Hadford Defence Group come from the Sill and Soil! I greatly appreciate Hannah’s community minded approach to conducting business in a small city!

But their selection of plants is always superior! The store is always so beautifully organized and the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly! I would recommend to anybody from a first time plant owner to an plant enthusiast!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love how fresh this store is and all of the incredible selection plus sourcing of local crafted goods , pots, stickers , cards, shelves you name it. Not to mention the pop up vendors. There seams to be one or two different side companies in store each weekend.
