"Please help us staff" ~ Consists of friends, family, and customers that assist us with everything from special events to moving stuff. We count on these people A LOT! So thankful for them!
So when you, our customer, asks one of our staff for assistance, often we will grab another staff member to assist you, based on their role and expertise. Or if you call the store, we will connect you with the person that can best answer your question or have them call you back. We want to make sure that you get the most accurate response the first time!
We also want to you to know that the time of day and the actual day that you shop will determine how long you may have to wait to get into our dressing rooms or get the one-on-one assistance you may require. Although we strive to be "available" all the time, every day, it's just not always humanly possible. When we are at full staff, with no one on holidays or off sick, we have 8 people on the floor on Saturdays, 7 on Fridays, 6 on Thursdays, 3 on Thursday evenings, 6 on Wednesdays, 5 on Tuesdays, 5 on Mondays, and 3 on Sundays. So if you come into our store when we are have limited staff available, you will likely have longer wait times to get one-on-one attention. (Although we have been know to literally "run" back and forth between dressing rooms to help as much as we can.)
We recommend that if you are requiring a lot of wardrobe revamping or style advice, call ahead to let us know when you would like to come in. That way we can ensure we have the team member that is the best fit to work with you. (Especially if you are new to the Sandbox and aren't familiar with how we do "things".) We feel that that our staff is to credit for the longevity and success of our business, and that is why the entire PART TWO of our “Everything Sandbox” blog is dedicated to staff!

The girls were so helpful and helped me pick out dresses ...and more, gave their honest thoughts on each dress, ran for different sizes and even picked out other dresses they thought may look good on me. As I got to know them, they brought dresses they thought I would like. Amazing. They made me feel like I was the most important customer there and I came out with two beautiful fitting dresses. One for the wedding and one just for me. Thank you so much for making my day a wonderful experience and a successful end to the day. So worth popping in to look at a terrific lines of clothing with plenty of choices. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the Sandbox! Staff are super helpful and really listen to what you're saying. If you want to just browse they give you the time that you need. The shop has a relaxing feel to it and is very welcoming. I love the displays! Many times shopping there my sister and I say "I'll have what the mannequin is wearing!". Speaking of the mannequins, their clothing displays are always top notch. Can't wait for my next shopping trip there!

Colleen, Juanita, Megan and the rest of the staff are absolutely amazing and so helpful! They know what I like and I appreciate all of their help! I almost exclusively shop at this store and would highly recommend it. They are honest and don’t hesitate to say if they don’t like something, and work with you until they and you are happy. I also love seeing their emails with them modeling their clothes! If you aren’t sure how to dress your body, they will help you! Check it out! Love you ladies!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cant say how I love this store! They have such a variety of clothing that takes me from classy work style to funky casual to a dressy night out! They also have such a unique selection of footwear that are super comfortable. The staff are AMAZING! They are so incredibly helpful and great at pulling items that you would never think to pull for yourself... but somehow you put it on and it is fabulous and its your favourite item of clothing that you walk out of the store with. I get so many compliments on my clothes that I get from here... most times when people telling "I love your dress, where did you get it?" they know my response before I even say it. I got it at The Sandbox in the City! I recommend that you check out their store, you will find something that you truly love to wear!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amaaazing!!! I was so worried I wouldn’t find a dress for my son’s wedding next month. I have gained some COVID weight and didn’t think I’d find my new size anywhere in S’toon. I phoned first to see if they carried plus sizes and I was told by Megan (sp) that they do and to just come in and they will take care of me. Sam selected some lovely pieces and all I had to do was try them on. It ended up that I had a hard time choosing which outfit to buy. So very helpful. Thanks ladies, you’re the best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were arrogant and rude. When we left without purchasing any items after browsing, the staff reacted inappropriately and made a snide comment to us as we were walking out. I thought shopping was solely for the purpose of looking to see if there was items we liked. The clothes did not fit my style, and was overpriced in my opinion. I love supporting local, but this business will not get my support any longer.

I was the only one in the store and nobody came to offer any help and ignored me. I just felt terrible, I don't like shopping and need something for a wedding, this store just made my anxiety worse. Thanks Sandbox. I hope people treat you better than you treat me. #neveragain.
